It’s Monday. Again. Just like last week and same for next week…maybe. Lucky for you, Monday means a fat stack of new metals to wrap your ears around and open your wallets for. As far as the top four, it’s a sick week if you like sick tunes and honestly, who doesn’t? Rhetorical, of course. Anyway, Australia’s Faceless Burial fly the 90s death metal flag like it’s their lifeblood but what they do with it is what makes this new album absolute GOLD, deathgrinders Stillbirth ride a razor thin line of brutal but technical death metal and grindcore with just a pinch of slam making this effort an easy choice for best of their career, another Australian band Yanomamo is making waves—or slinging mud—with their latest EP of psychedelic sludge, and Texas Murder Crew put an emphasis on the brutal aspect of brutal death metal on their latest. Go do the thing where you give bands all your money, tons of opportunities this week. Enjoy.
