Well, it’s October. We’ll ignore the fact that it’s almost November, because what can I say? It’s been a busy stretch of life, on top of COVID-fatigue and existential dread. But we’re all here for the riffs, right?

The Third Circle of Bandcamp: August 2020 Edition
Deadlines, deadlines, deadlines. You got ’em, I got ’em, but more pertinent to this post Charles has ’em, so I’m jumping in to put together a batch of great music you can find on the grand poobah of digital music, Bandcamp. We got metal, we got stuff that’s tangent to metal, and we got stuff that is unequivocally not metal. Is that a typical Third Circle post? Hell if I know, but let’s jump in and see what you think…
The Third Circle of Bandcamp: July 2020 Edition

The Third Circle of Bandcamp: June 2020 Edition
Something about summer. I always find my tastes changing a bit during the hot months, and layer on month four of working from home, never going to stores or seeing friends, and I find myself less and less drawn to the depressing and soul crushing metal that is normally my utter jam. So this month it’s a little more upbeat, a little more positive, a little more energetic, and of course, angry. Because there’s still so so much to be angry about.
Anyway, welcome to June.

ACAB. Black Lives Matter. Transphobes can DIAF.
What, you don’t come here for the politics? Too fuckin’ bad. This is my house. Two things make me happy: people in the streets, and music. I can’t be in the streets due to health reasons, but I can sure as shit find and share music. So that’s what I’m doing.
Why link those two things together? Because tomorrow Bandcamp is donating 100% of their cut to the NAACP Legal Defense Fund. So go buy some tunes. Buy lots of tunes. Because if there’s one thing I know, it’s that cops are throwing Black people in jail during these protests, and they’re going to need lawyers. So make with the buying.
