If you are a fan of the show Love Island (um yeah…), you may have found one contestant’s ram tattoo fascinating. Bustle sure did this past week, and decided to find out if Darylle Sargeant is a Satanist. A Twitter account says she is, but really? Continue reading

CANTO: Judas Priest and Mastodon join forces, that baphomet statue finds a home, and updates from Deafheaven!
There sure are a lot of things going on today. Most of them are fun! Some aren’t.
- Here is a big tour announcement… Judas Priest and Mastodon are hitting the road this October. Eleven dates announced and you’ll probably need to do some traveling if you want to get to one of these shows.
- In 2006, Jonathan Davis made an attempt at opening a serial killer museum. It didn’t go well and now he’s being sued a quarter-million bucks for legal fees owed. Good job, guy.
- A rare update from Deafheaven. The blackgazers have signed on with ANTI- and will be dropping their as-yet-untitled third album in October.
- We should all be aware of the situation between Lita Ford and her children. Well, to make matters worse, her children are now accusing her of constant abuse. Of course, Lita is continuing to fight these allegations.
- That giant baphomet statue has a new home! And it’s in Detroit! I may actually get to see this thing!
- I think we can wrap up this Monday with some new stuff from Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats…
That track is called “Waiting for Blood” and I’m sure many of you enjoy it.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”

Quickies: May 2, 2014
TDIF! (Thank Dio it’s Friday!) I don’t know about you lot, but I’m craving a weekend. And what better way to kick it off than with some news highlights from around the world of metal?
Okay, I can’t actually take that statement seriously, either. But regardless, here are today’s Quickies!
- It’s a rare occasion for me to actively encourage people to listen to Slayer these days. But Jeff Hanneman left us a year ago today, so…play some damn Slayer. (Just not “Implode,” okay?)
- Those additional Summer Slaughter dates we predicted in Episode 4? They’re out now.
- The doctor that prescribed late Slipknot bassist Paul Gray the pills that contributed to his overdose? He’s been found not guilty of manslaughter.
- Judas Priest released the track listing for their upcoming album, Redeemer of Souls. “Halls of Valhalla”? “Battle Cry”? Please tell me they’re not going to try and pull off viking metal…
- And finally, I can’t wait to see the brick that the collective state of Oklahoma will shit once this thing is released upon the world. Seriously, EPIC, EPIC stuff.

Keep it metal this weekend!
