Incantation
Incantation

I’m kicking this off with a plug, because I can. Head over to Magnetic Eye’s Bandcamp page and preorder the upcoming Dirt [Redux]. I’m generally not a fan of cover albums or reimagining type of deals but this one is all that and a bag of chips. Alrighty then, plug over and time to showcase all the new metals this week, YAY. playlist - mixtape

Welcome to another edition of our Saturday morning playlist series. This week, Khemmis covers Alice in Chains, I’m extatic over the announcement of a second new Mountain Goats album this year, and Anton won’t stop yelling about Dephosphorus again. All that and more down below.

The Nine Circles Playlist Vol. 140 (8.1.2020)

playlist - mixtape

Did we get the date wrong in the title of last week’s column? When time has no meaning anymore, who can say? All we know is that THIS week’s playlist is jammed full of a diverse mix of what we’ve all been listening to this week, from Anhedonist (RIP Kim Harrington and thank you for some of my favorite riffs ever written) to Obsidian Kingdom’ new single, to Margo Price and Diarrhea Planet. Get in there and find something good.
