CANTO: Satan, Archspire, Strigoi, and More

Archspire 2021

This week is absolutely destroying me. Also, tours are getting canceled again. That sucks.

  • Archspire have optimistically announced a new tour through North America with Entheos, Inferi, and Vulvodynia. That kicks off on April 13th, and tickets can be found here.
  • Couple of Season of Mist happenings to mention tonight. Strigoi have signed on with the label, and are preparing a new album for 2022. It will be titled Viscera, and you know we’ll keep you updated as more details emerge.
  • Nekromant released a new video for “The Woods”, a track taken from Temple Of Haal, an album I had a good time with a few weeks ago. Haven’t heard it yet? It’s out now through Despotz Records and you can check it out here.
  • This is interesting. Amaranthe unveiled a music video for “PvP”, a track used for E-Sports Championships. Give it a watch.
  • Closing with a new video from Satan feels… appropriate. Check out the clip for “Into the Mouth of Eternity” below. That one is taken from 2018’s Cruel Magic, which is available here.

Receiving the Evcharist: Nekromant and Schilling Beer Co.

Receiving the Evcharist 2018

I’m not going to lie to you, it has been an absolute beast of a start to the holiday season. Not in a good way, nor a bad way, but in a way of some form or another. Anyway, aren’t you all lucky, because I still carved out time to blast back a few beers to some heavy metal and talk about it for some reason. This time around I give you Temple Of Haal from Nekromant and the Landbier Dunkel from Schilling Beer Co. They have nothing to do with each other in any way, shape, or form (that I know of), but I sure needed both today. Let’s share feelings!

CANTO: Rivers of Nihil, Mono, Nekromant, and More

All of a sudden it’s super hot out? Dumb.

  • Let’s start with Mono, a crowd favorite here at Nine Circles. Today they released another new single and video, “Innocence”, from Pilgrimage of the Soul. That album is set for a September 17th release through Pelagic Records… a label that has been on an absolute roll this year.
  • Swedish heavy metal trio Nekromant have announced their fourth full-length album. Temple Of Haal will be out on December 3rd through their new label home, Despotz Records. Give “The Woods” a listen… right now.
  • I’d also recommend jumping on over to Decibel to check out this full set performed by Wolf King, Live at Rapture Recordings. That set, of course, showcases material from their second album, The Path of Wrath, which dropped this passed March through Prosthetic Records.
  • Let’s close with the new music video from Rivers of Nihil, which I have seen all over the interwebs today. The clip for “Focus” is available directly below, a track taken from The Work. That album drops on September 24th through Metal Blade.
