CANTO: Suicide Silence, Constellatia, Bones, and More

An early afternoon draft because life is still upside down.

  • I guess we can start by checking out the new Queensrÿche. Give “Behind The Walls” a listen and watch here, a track taken from the upcoming new album Digital Noise Alliance. That one drops on October 7th through Century Media.
  • I suppose we can mix things up with some metalcore today. Check out the latest from Currents, titled “The Death We Seek”. That’s available through SharpTone Records.
  • This is something I wasn’t previously familiar with. South African progressive black metallers Constellatia are releasing their sophomore full-length on November 11th through Season of Mist, titled Magisterial Romance. With that announcement, the first single, “Adorn”, is available now.
  • Chicago extreme metal outfit Bones are releasing their fourth album, Vomit, on October 28th through Disorder Recordings. Here’s a preview clip. The release show they’re hosting on the 29th at Reggie’s looks like a ton of fun as well.
  • Suicide Silence premiered a new track today, titled “You Must Die”. That single is available for purchase here, and you can watch the music video for it below.

CANTO: Vio-Lence, Sunrot, Foscor, and More

Another Monday filled with misery!

  • Post-sludge collective Sunrot have signed on with Prosthetic Records, and they released a new single titled “21%” to mark the occasion. They’re also working a full-length album under the new label, which we’ll keep our eyes out for in the months ahead.
  • Jumping over to Season of Mist, Foscor unveiled a new music video today for “Misofonia”. That release is in celebration of the band’s 20th anniversary, and is a track taken from bonus editions of 2017’s Les Irreals Visions. Commemorative merch can be purchased here.
  • Lotus Thrones, the post-industrial solo project out of Philadelphia, is releasing a new EP on February 25th titled Hibernal. That will be out digitally through Disorder Recordings and on cassette through Seeing Eye Records. Check out “Codependent Arsonry” here.
  • Wrapping up Monday with Vio-Lence feels like the right call. Especially this particular Monday. Below is the clip for “Let the World Burn”, the title-track from the new EP out on March 4th through Metal Blade. They’re also on tour with Coroner in May.

Been listening to A LOT of In Flames in recent days. Not gonna explain why just yet.

  • Chrome Waves, a project I caught onto after the release of A Grief Observed in 2018, just completed their second full-length. Where We Live will be out this coming September through Disorder Recordings. Here’s a teaser for those interested.
  • Satan has announced the upcoming release of Early Rituals, which will include a collection of their fully remastered demos. That will be available September 25th through Listenable Records.
  • Mörk Gryning also dropped a teaser for their upcoming new album, Hinsides Vrede, which drops on October 23rd through Season of Mist. Get an idea of what’s upcoming right here.
  • Bleed Someone Dry released a new lyric video today for “Mephistophelian”, which you can check out below. Unorthodox is available now through Wormholedeath / The Orchard.
