Today was the Monday-ist Monday that ever Monday-ed.
- Starting off, we have a new signing over at Odium Records. Atmospheric black metal project Hyl have signed on with the label, where they’ll release their debut album early next year. We don’t yet have a release date for Where Emptiness is All, but we’ll be sure to let you know when details emerge.
- German black metal entity Har Shatan have set December 31 as the international release date of Manum Inicere Alicui. That sophomore release will be presented by The Sinister Flame on vinyl and cassette formats, and is currently streaming in full over at the Black Metal Promotion YouTube channel.
- Let’s slide in another signing announcement. Jesus Piece have inked a deal with Century Media Records, and released a new single and video titled “An Offering To The Night”, which was done in collaboration with Noah… something I’m not familiar with. Anyway! They’re also on tour early next year, and it looks like we can expect a new album in 2023 as well. Dope.
- We’re going to transition into evening mode with some extreme metal. To The Grave revealed a brutal new single, complete with a gory music video, titled “Axe Of Kindness”. I’m not that far removed from seeing Terrifier 2, so these kinds of videos still very much grab my attention. Anyway, Director’s Cuts is set for a February 24 release through Unique Leader Records.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
