The Nine Circles Playlist Vol. 24 (1.8.2018)

NINE-CIRCLES_LOGO-Light Background_SQUARE

The dawn of a new week…or Monday depending on your point of view. I always love the feel of a new year, so much hope and the timing is right for fresh thinking about what’s expected. You can choose to be a negative ninnie or you can choose to look at everything with fresh eyes and thoughts. I’m not suggesting a complete turn away from the world at large but I am suggesting to find things: music, people, friends, family or whatever does it for you, and place emphasis on these things. We’re challenging ourselves this year and we hope you’ll do the same. Anyway, enough rah rah talk — the music we jammed on last week awaits. Subscribe here and hit the play button immediately below. Grab a fresh cup of coffee, you can thank us later. Continue reading

CANTO: Corrosion Of Conformity, Ministry, Tool, and more

It’s been awhile. And it will be awhile until we do this again. Enjoy it while you’ve got it.

  • Corrosion Of Conformity have been releasing a No Cross No Crown video series, and part four is now available. These guys will be on the road the next few months and the new album drops January 12th. So yeah, do that.
  • Ministry have announced a run of shows with Chelsea Wolfe next March and April. Their new album, AmeriKKKant, drops March 9th. Political metal! Hurray! There’s a new song called “Antifa” in there somewhere, too.
  • I can’t believe I’m still sharing these damn rumors. Danny Carey seems pretty confident that a new Tool album will come our way in 2018. You know who isn’t confident? Literally EVERYONE ELSE.
  •  Finally, here’s an impressive new track from Harakiri For The Sky called “You Are The Scars”. 10+ minutes of post-black metal awesomeness. Their new album, Arson, will be out February 16th.

Best of 2016: Paul Ravenwood from Twilight Fauna

Nine Circles Best of 2016 Standard

Today we have the pleasure of featuring a Best of 2016 list from Twilight Fauna‘s mastermind Paul Ravenwood. These lists are always fun but having the opportunity to see what an artist of Paul’s caliber has been listening to and subsequently loved enough to do this is a treat for us and will be for you as well. You know how these things work so read on — after the jump — to find out what he has in store. Continue reading
