NY’s blackened deathgrinders Vomit Fist are back to regale us with more tales of the “Frogvasion” and this time they’re exploring a bit with an avantgarde touch to their razor-raw riffs which means this second outing rules that much harder. Imprecation and Black Blood Invocation get bestial enough to make Satan blush on their split release, and Fen do unexpectedly great things with their atmospheric black metal – it’s an early call but this just might be their finest moment yet.
