This has been a very bizarre Monday, let me tell ya.
We heard new stuff from Cradle of Filth at the end of last week, so we may as well follow all that up with a new tour announcement. They’ll mark their return to the United States in October with 3Teeth and Once Human. Those shows will include a full performance of the 1998 album Cruelty and the Beast, which is fun.
Thrash collective Mantic Ritual have reunited after a decade-long hiatus, and signed on with M-Theory Audio. It looks like they are preparing a new EP, which we would see sometime before the end of the year. Furthermore, for those left coast friends of mine, you can catch them live on August 26th at Supply & Demand. Dope.
I’ve been impressed with Prophecy Productions releases recently, so let’s close with the new video single from Illudium for “Sempervirens”. That track is taken from Ash of the Womb, which is set for an October 15th release. Pre-orders can be snagged here.
Dang, whole lotta stuff to go through in the inbox this evening. Weird.
We’ll lead off with a tour (maybe two), because monitoring those will be interesting for the next several months I think. Lorna Shore have a number of U.S. dates lined up in September and October, with support from Enterprise Earth, Sentinels and Crown Magnitar. Tickets can be purchased here.
Los Angeles extreme metal crew Teeth unveiled a nasty new single today. “Dreamless Hieroglyphs” is streaming over at Invisible Oranges, a track taken from Finite. That new album is set for a November 26th release through Translation Loss Records, in case you needed a reminder.
Progressive stoner rock band Ealdor Bealu have signed on with Metal Assault Records, and are planning a new album release in early 2022. Better yet, they’ve also announced a new run of shows, scheduled from September 30th through October 9th. All on that other coast, unfortunately for me.
I’ve been listening to a lot of Rammstein lately (see also: always), so here’s a cover of “Sonne” as presented by Black Satellite. Check it out below. Seriously though… I’m curious what people think of it.
Today was a good day to be a Red Wings fan, just in case anyone was wondering (you weren’t).
Municipal Waste have tacked on some more dates to their 2021 tour plans. This latest batch of shows are with Crowbar (which is awesome), are the dates run from November 13th through the 23rd. Tickets go on sale this coming Friday.
Criminal has announced a new album, Sacrificio, which will be released on September 17th through Metal Blade Records. Check out the first single and video from that album, titled “Zona De Sacrificio”, right now.
The Melvins have announced a newly recorded, career-spanning acoustic collection titled Five Legged Dog. The collection will include 36 tracks, and it’s set for a October 15th release through Ipecac Recordings. It’s available for pre-order here, and you can check out “Night Goat” for a preview of what’s to come.
And we’ll close with the new video from death/thrash collective Toxic Ruin. Nightmare Eclipseis set for an August 27th release through M-Theory Audio, their debut through the label. The video for “Defiler” can be streamed immediately below. Enjoy.
It’s been raining the last couple of days, and I definitely don’t hate it.
Shadows Fall have announced their return to the stage. On December 18th they’ll be taking the Palladium stage in Worcester, MA with the likes of Unearth, Darkest Hour, Within The Ruins, Sworn Enemy, and Carnivora. A trailer for the event can be seen here, and tickets go on sale later this week. Those can be found at this location.
Los Angeles extreme metal collective Teeth have announced a new full-length effort. Finite is set for a November 26th release through Translation Loss Records, and pre-order/pre-save options are available here. Better yet, a new track titled “Concubine” is available for your streaming pleasure right now.
And we’ll close with some progressive death metal out of Brazil. This is the new music video from Abstracted for “Wither To Dust”. That one is taken from their debut full-length, Atma Conflux, which drops sometime later this year through M-Theory Audio. More details coming soon.
I am totally overwhelmed with shit to do today, so let’s hustle this thing out.
We’ll start with Byzantine, who have launched a new website, as well as a web series that will premiere this summer titled “Pick A Side”. Check out this teaser video. Sounds a like a pretty cool concept. They’ll also be on tour this summer to celebrate their 21st anniversary. You can find a link to that stuff at their new website as well.
