CANTO: Shadows Fall, Alice Cooper, Sonata Arctica, and More

I’m ready for another adventure… which is basically my perpetual state of existence these days.

  • Since I’m seriously craving a beer right about now, let’s start with the latest from Shadows Fall. They’ve launched their own beer, named the “Destroyer of Sense” New England pale ale, in partnership with Tin Bridge Brewing Company. It will be available in cans at their one-off show at the Palladium in Worcester on December 18th.
  • Alice Cooper has quite the run of shows coming up next year. The latest announcement includes a tour with Buckcherry (on most dates), kicking off after the Monsters of Rock Cruise. Those dates covering March 18th through April 23rd.
  • And then we have a new Pelagic Records signing to mention. Post rock/neoclassical project BRUIT have announced a vinyl and CD release of The Machine is burning and now everyone knows it could happen again through the label, with pre-orders expected sometime in January.
  • Nowegian black metal project Minneriket are releasing a new album, Gjennom meg går ingen til hvile, independently on January 21st. Preview and pre-order that one through Bandcamp right here. I felt the need to add some black metal to the pile today, apparently.
  • Sonata Arctica released a new lyric video for “The Rest Of The Sun Belongs To Me”, a track taken from Acoustic Adventures – Volume One. Give it a watch below, and pre-order the album here. That drops on January 21st through Atomic Fire Records.

“Ein Bier… bitte.”
