Cattle Decapitation have announced the “Death… At Last” tour with The Last Ten Seconds Of Life, Extinction A.D., and Creeping Death. Those are U.S. dates beginning January 18th and running through February 20th. Tickets go on sale this coming Friday at this location.
And then we’ll jump over to Pelagic Records, where Som has announced the upcoming release of The Shape Of Everything. That drops on January 21st, and is available for preorder here. Check out the first track, “Animals”, right now at the previous link.
Cynic shared a preview of an upcoming new track, titled “Diamond Light Body”, through Season of Mist. That one is taken from Ascension Codes, which is out on November 26th and can be purchased here.
This came through yesterday but whatever. Dark Tranquillity are making their return to North America early next year with Kataklysm and Nailed To Obscurity. Tickets go on sale this coming Friday. They’ll be supporting Moment, a very good album… in case you needed a reminder.
We’re closing with the first single from The Halo Effect, and it’s titled “Shadowminds”. And I’m not gonna lie, I am really, really happy about it. That project recently inked a deal with Nuclear Blast, but album details haven’t quite emerged yet. We’ll keep you posted.

How is it only Wednesday?

Anathema has made the difficult call to go on an indefinite hiatus and pursue other paths as individuals. Clearly a result of the impact COVID has had on all of us, let’s just hope we get Anathema back someday.
Well, well, well. What do we have here, a 2021 North American tour announcement? Indeed! Dark Tranquillity is planning a run of shows in September and October with Obscura and Nailed To Obscurity. We shall see…
Weedeater have announced a virtual 360° performance, scheduled for this coming Friday (September 25th) at 8:00 EDT. Pick up a ticket and watch the trailer for the event right here.
We’ll close with a new lyric video from Hecate Enthroned for “Plagued By Black Death”, which is taken from the reissue of 2013’s Virulent Rapture. That one drops this Friday (yep, that’s still September 25th).
