It’s certainly gonna take a bit to recover from this past weekend.

Let’s open our week with Predatory Void. They unveiled a new video for “Funerary Vision”. That’s the final, epic 10-minute track from Seven Keys to the Discomfort of Being, which officially dropped last Friday through Century Media.
Black and roll trio Johnny The Boy, a project that features members of Crippled Black Phoenix, shared a new single titled “Druh”. A visualizer for that can be seen here. Their debut full-length will be released through Season of Mist on June 9.
Blackened thrash metallers Hellripper released Warlocks Grim & Withered Hags back in February through Peaceville. If you happened to miss that one, give the video for “Goat Vomit Nightmare” a glance here.
With tour dates on the horizon, starting in North America, Obituary dropped a new music video for the title-track from Dying of Everything. And that, my friends, is how we’ll end our Monday. Give it a watch below. Their latest album is out now through Relapse Records.

Coming in a little later tonight because work was… well, it was. That’s all I got.

Leading off, we’ve got fresh updates from Predatory Void. Their debut album, Seven Keys to the Discomfort of Being, drops on April 21 through Century Media. A new single, “Grovel”, can be streamed here.
Sticking with Century Media, we’ve got a new video from Vomit Forth. With their tour with Upon Stone officially underway, they released a clip for “Pain Tolerance”, a track taken from Seething Malevolence, which dropped last year.
Boston’s Gozu are releasing their fifth album through Metal Blade and Blacklight Media, titled Remedy. That will be out on May 19, and you can check out “Tom Cruise Control” (lol) here. I can guarantee that’s going to be a good time.
Over at Prosthetic, Calligram have announced a new album. Position | Momentum drops on July 14, and the lead single, “Ex-Sistere”, can be heard (and watched) here.
We tend to be Thy Catafalque fans around these parts, so let’s end with that. The latest from Tamás Kátai, Alföld, will be out on June 16 through Season of Mist. Check out the video for the first single, “Néma vermek”, below.

This feels like the least Friday Friday ever, even though it’s a long weekend. Oh well. What’s happening out there today?

Progressive sludge duo Netherlands unveiled a video for the title-track from their new album today. Give “Severance” a watch and listen here. That album is out on March 31 through Svart Records.
First of a couple Century Media mentions today. Frozen Soul are dropping Glacial Domination on May 19, and today they shared a NSFW video for “Morbid Effigy”. Give it a watch here. That track features John Gallagher of Dying Fetus, which is pretty dope.
I’ve rather enjoyed the latest from HYPNO5E, so let’s give the video for “Slow Steams of Darkness” a watch next. That’s taken from Sheol, which is out next Friday through Pelagic Records.

Lots of tour and festival news today I think…

And leading off we have the Decibel Magazine Tour 2023, which will feature the likes of Cattle Decapitation, Dark Funeral, 200 Stab Wounds, and Blackbraid. Great lineup. Those dates fall in May and June. I have some great memories from Decibel Magazine Tours from back in the day, so it’s a shame I’ll be sitting this one out.
2023 will also see the return of Milwaukee Metal Fest, set for May 26 through 28. There are some big names in the lineup, including Lamb of God, Napalm Death, Anthrax, and so on. It’s a pretty stacked bill. Jamey Jasta purchased the rights to this festival last year, and it seems to be back with a bang.
Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper announced the “Freaks on Parade Tour 2023”, which will also feature Ministry and Filter. Those dates are in August and September, kicking off on the 24th in Dallas, and wrapping up in Phoenix a month later. Tickets go on sale this coming Friday at this location.
Norma Jean unveiled a new video for “1994”, which contains footage spanning their entire career. Be sure to catch them on tour in the coming weeks with Fire From the Gods and Greyhaven.
Following their recent signing with Century Media, and with a debut album on the way, Predatory Void shared a standalone single titled “*(struggling..)”. Give that a listen and watch below. There are some awesome names attached to this project, and I can’t wait to see what comes later this year.
