I echo what Corey said in yesterday’s Canto: “This was one long fucking week.” For some, it’s done. For others, it’s not. Either way we’ve got another loaded mixtape, of stuff we’ve been spinning, to burn the day off with. We’ve got a killer opening pair with new Withered and Cryptosis, Insomnium, The Lion’s Daughter (insane new album that is), Wo Fat, Putrefying Cadaverment, Kauan, Dark Tranquillity, and a ton more. Whether you’re working, playing, drinking, or whatever, we’ve got the goods to get you through the day. Slap that play button below.
I have so much delicious music to listen to this coming month. So exciting.
Starting off with some news about a real shit break for Wormrot. They were U.S. bound for a run of shows that included MDF. They made it… but none of their clothes or equipment did. It sounds like things might be turning around, but this is still a total pain in the ass. And it’s not the first stroke of misfortune they’ve dealt with. All the best for these dudes.
1/3/2018. I guess it’s going to snow here tonight.
One of the bigger things to surface recently (to some people that aren’t me) was the Coachella lineup. A whole lotta stuff unrelated to what we cover, but I guess A Perfect Circle is on there. So that’s something.
This was a weird thing to pop up today. If you want a piece of black metal/Mayhem history, you can purchase some of Euronymous’ original letters. They start at $250 and it looks like there are only a few left.
More alcohol branding. Red Fang are teaming up with Teutonic Wine Company to bring us the, appropriately titled, Red Fang Red. It’s a bit of unique blend, so I’m curious as to how well it’s received. Since I used to pretend to know things about wine once and stuff.
Septicflesh have dropped a new video for “Martyr”. They’ll be touring around these parts in the coming months. I’ll be there. I think.
