CANTO: Incantation, Bodysnatcher, Pestilence, and More

Incantation

I ran 11 miles today, and am planning on running 11 less tomorrow.

  • So I generally can’t stand Metal Injection for a variety of reasons, but I do need to take a second to comment on how awesome the lineup is for the Slay at Home finale. Rotting Christ, Cannabis Corpse, and Black Tusk are only a few of the names I have circled.
  • Hells Headbangers will be reissuing a couple of Incantation records, including Decimate Christendom (2004) and Primordial Domination (2006). They’ll be available on CD come June 11th, and on cassette for the first time on July 30th. Here’s a link to more information as well as order details.
  • Florida deathcore crew Bodysnatcher have announced a U.S. headlining tour this fall, and tickets are on sale now here. The dates are in October and November, and support will be in the form of Boundaries, Left To Suffer, and Mouth For War.
  • And we’ll wrap up the day, and likely the week, with the new video from Pestilence for “Deificvs”. That’s another track taken from Exitivm, which is set for a June 25th release through Agonia Records. Pick it up here, and check out the video below.

I have somehow emerged from the weekend more tired than before. Huzzah!

Alright, let’s shut this week down.

  • We’ll start with Korpiklaani, who released a new version of “Beer Beer”. This time, it’s “Bira Bira”, featuring Jesper Anastasiadis of Turisas. Check out the new lyric video here. Frankly, anything beer related is exactly what I’m looking for.
  • A bit late on this news, but Sonata Arctica have announced some live stream shows. Those will be acoustic performances taking place on May 29th, aimed at fans in North America, and May 30th, for fans in Europe.
  • Metal Injection’s “Slay At Home” fest, which is scheduled for May 29th and 30th, now also includes Der Weg einer Freiheit on the bill. In case you weren’t aware, I’m obsessed with this band, so I approve of this development.
  • And we’ll close with a new video from Sorcerer for “Deliverance”. Their new album, titled Lamenting of the Innocent, drops on May 29th through Metal Blade Records. Enjoy and Happy Friday.
