CANTO: The Devil’s Trade, Burning Witches, Sanguisugabogg, and More

Canto after dark: still a thing sometimes! Gonna keep it quick though.

Leading off, we have Burning Witches. They released the third single, “World On Fire”, from their upcoming new album. Their fifth studio album, The Dark Tower, is out this Friday through Napalm Records.
And an upcoming North American tour! Sanguisugabogg dates with Kruelty, Vomit Forth, and more. Those dates are in July and August, and tickets go on sale this Friday.
Chthonic is a callback to my formative metal years, so let’s see what they’re up to. Here’s a new video of them performing “Pattonkan” at Megaport Festival in Takao City, Taiwan.
The Devil’s Trade is a thing that I like, so let’s end on that note. A new album, Vidékek vannak idebenn, is slated for a July 14 release through Season of Mist. Check out the video for the brand new track, “Flashing Through the Lack of Light” directly below.

Coming in a little later tonight because work was… well, it was. That’s all I got.

Leading off, we’ve got fresh updates from Predatory Void. Their debut album, Seven Keys to the Discomfort of Being, drops on April 21 through Century Media. A new single, “Grovel”, can be streamed here.
Sticking with Century Media, we’ve got a new video from Vomit Forth. With their tour with Upon Stone officially underway, they released a clip for “Pain Tolerance”, a track taken from Seething Malevolence, which dropped last year.
Boston’s Gozu are releasing their fifth album through Metal Blade and Blacklight Media, titled Remedy. That will be out on May 19, and you can check out “Tom Cruise Control” (lol) here. I can guarantee that’s going to be a good time.
Over at Prosthetic, Calligram have announced a new album. Position | Momentum drops on July 14, and the lead single, “Ex-Sistere”, can be heard (and watched) here.
We tend to be Thy Catafalque fans around these parts, so let’s end with that. The latest from Tamás Kátai, Alföld, will be out on June 16 through Season of Mist. Check out the video for the first single, “Néma vermek”, below.

My dog has been stoned all day, which has been moderately amusing.

May as well lead in with another tour. Beartooth and Trivium are co-headlining a North American run in the coming months, covering a good chunk of April through June. They’ll be joined by Malevolence and Archetypes Collide on those dates. Tickets go on sale this coming Friday.
Next, we have some blackened sludge to add to the pile. Lo! shared a video for “Salting The Earth”, a track taken from The Gleaners, which is out on April 7 through Pelagic Records.
One more tour to drop in today. Vomit Forth are headlining a tour in the U.S. with Upon Stone as support. Those dates are in March, but they’re also on the road on either side of that… so you’ll have plenty of opportunities to catch them over the next few months.
Out of Napalm Records, we have a new track and video from Xandria, titled “Two Worlds”. The Wonders Still Awaiting is out this coming Friday, in case you needed a reminder.
And the video we’ll wrap up with today comes from Naut. The post punk outfit are releasing Hunt on February 24 through Season of Mist, and the clip for “Damocles” can be seen below.

The Friday before what is going to be an insanely busy week coming up.

Leading off, Cabal have announced a new album through Nuclear Blast. Magno Interitus will be out on October 21st, and of course that update comes with some new tunes. Check out “Exsanguination” here.
Primal Fear are celebrating their 25 years as a band with a deluxe edition of their self-titled debut, which will be out on July 15th through Atomic Fire. Check out the lyric video for “Running In The Dust” right here.
Prosthetic Records have added Slugcrust to their roster, who will be releasing their debut album, titled Ecocide, on September 9th. The lead single from that album, “Echoless”, is available now.
New stuff from Vomit Forth emerged today, and that’s awesome. Here’s the clip for “Carnivorous Incantation”. Seething Malevolence is out on July 8th through Century Media. But you should have already known that.
It’s no mystery that we’re Spirit Adrift fans around here, so closing with their new track is an easy choice. Check out “Mass Formation Psychosis”, taken from the upcoming 20 Centuries Gone. That collection is out on August 19th and will feature two new tracks alongside six covers.

I almost skipped this today, but I couldn’t ignore all the fun stuff happening out there.

To start, we have new material from WAKE. Check our their new single, titled “Infinite Inward”. Their sixth full-length album will be out on July 22nd through Metal Blade, titled Thought Form Descent, and we are all very excited about it.
From there, we’ve got updates from King Parrot. The Australian grind crew are releasing their debut EP from 2011, titled The Stench Of Hardcore Pub Trash, on vinyl for the first time through Housecore Records and Dead Set Records. That will be out on June 30th.
Reunited thrash collective Mantic Ritual have returned with the new music video for “Crusader”, their first new material since 2009. They’ve also got a new EP coming on September 2nd, so we’ll keep an eye out for that.
Italian death metallers Hierophant are releasing a new full-length, Death Siege, on August 26th through Season of Mist. Check out the video for the title-track here.
