CANTO: Lorna Shore, Eluveitie, Gomorra, and More

And now I’m in Acadia National Park. Good times. Happy weekend, all!

  • Leading off, we have new material from Eluveitie to share. The lyric video for “Exile of the Gods” is available here. I didn’t see any word on a new album, but you can catch them on the road with Amorphis in Europe if you happen to be over there.
  • From there, we’ll jump over to Wage War. The hard rockers unveiled a new video for “Godspeed (Stripped)” today, a new take on a track originally from 2021’s Manic. Give it a watch here, and catch Wage War on tour with A Day to Remember starting late next month.
  • Next, we have some Swiss thrash. Gomorra shared a new video for “Stand United”, the latest sample taken from Dealer of Souls. That album is set for a December 9th release through Noble Demon.
  • Ritual Death are releasing their self-titled debut album on December 5th through Shadow Records, and you can preview what’s to come with “Lunae” over on Bandcamp.
  • It’s Lorna Shore release date, so naturally we’ll end our week with the new video clip for “Pain Remains III: In a Sea of Fire”, the epic conclusion to Pain Remains. That album is available through Century Media.

CANTO: The Contortionist, Lorna Shore, We Came As Romans, and More

I know I just referenced it yesterday, but we are officially one month away from Fire In The Mountains.

  • For now, we’ll stay focused on the items at hand. For example, The Contortionist have announced a headlining tour with Rivers of Nihil, with dates running this September and October. Tickets go on sale Friday at this location.
  • If you’re looking for a little noise rock in your day, check out the new stuff from Chat Pile. “Why” is available for your listening pleasure here, a track taken from God’s Country. That album drops on July 29th through The Flenser.
  • In the metalcore world, We Came As Romans have unveiled details surrounding their next album. Darkbloom will mark their first album in five years, and is set for an October 14th release through Sharptone Records. Check out the visualizer for “Plagued” here.
  • Hard rock quintet Wage War release Manic last October through Fearless Records, and today they shared a new live music video for “Godspeed”, taken from that album. Give it a watch here.
  • And we’re going to close out with the monstrous new track from Lorna Shore titled “Into The Earth”. Keep an eye out for Pain Remains, their new album which is set to drop sometime in October. More details to come, of course.

CANTO: Gojira, Dawn Ray’d, Culted, and More

We got tours!

  • We’ll start with Gojira, since they are fresh off the release of Fortitude and all. They’ve got a handful of headlining dates here in the United States this coming September and October, which does include a couple festival appearances. Tickets go on sale Friday, and you know I’ll be ready to jump on that.
  • Dawn Ray’d have announced a two-track EP, Wild Fire, set for a May 7th release with Prosthetic Records. It features two versions of the same track, and “Wild Fire I” is streaming over at Decibel.
  • And the second tour I wanted to highlight today is headlined by Beartooth. Those are August and September dates, with support from Wage War and Dragged Under. Tickets go on sale Friday as well. And while you’re at it, you may as well pre-order Below, which is out June 25th via Red Bull Records.
  • Couple noteworthy items out of Season of Mist to start the week with. First, they announced that the horror metal act Opera Diabolicus have been added to their roster. Their sophomore album, Death on a Pale Horse, will be out later this year at some point.
  • And then we have a new video from Culted for “Crush My Soul”, which we will round things out with. That Godflesh cover is taken from Nous, which dropped back in February. Pick it up here if you hadn’t already done so.
