My favorite bar is open again and therefore everything is wonderful.
As is always the case on a Friday, we have a whole bunch of new songs and videos to share. So on that note, we will start with Killer Be Killed. Reluctant Hero dropped last November through Nuclear Blast, and today they gave us a new video for “Animus”, a track taken from that album.
And it seems like a good call to wrap up the week with the new single and video from At The Gates. We knew something was brewing (side note: that reminds me it’s time for a beer) for awhile, and this doesn’t disappoint. This is “Spectre of Extinction”, taken from The Nightmare of Being. That album is out July 2nd through Century Media.
Ihsahn announced a livestream event, and I can never get enough Ihsahn, so let’s talk about that. On April 4th, he will be performing Telemark and Pharos in their entirety, with a guest appearance from Einar Solberg. Get your tickets here. I think I’m actually going to make this one!
And lastly, that other video I wanted to share today, which comes from Witherfall. This is the clip for “The Unyielding Grip of Each Passing Day”, taken from Curse of Autumn, which is out now through Century Media Enjoy.
Witherfall shared a lyric video today for the new track “Another Face”. That’s another one taken from their upcoming new album, Curse Of Autumn, which officially drops on Marth 5th through Century Media.
This likely won’t apply to me, or anyone else in North America, but Archspire have ambitions for a 2021 European tour. It’s actually a pretty stacked bill with Allegaeon, Black Crown Initiate, Rivers of Nihil, and To The Grave. The dates aren’t until November, so we’ll see!
Michigan metalcore group Of Virtue dropped a new video today. Check out the clip below for “Pictures Of You (Reimagine)”, taken from What Defines You, which is available through SharpTone Records.
As tours are being canceled left and right, with a few rescheduled dates only just beginning to surface, I saw this and thought it was cool. Full Body Autopsy are putting on a virtual tour where they will stream six different sets over six different nights in April and May. Honestly, I’m all over this idea.
