I believe the dust has settled on the misery that has been the last week.
Wake have a run of shows coming up in March with End, Portrayal of Guilt, and Yashira. The tour kicks off on March 3rd in Philadelphia, and wraps up on the 26th. Here’s the full story, for those interested.
Godflesh & Lustmord revealed the first single from The Others (Lustmord Deconstructed). Check out “Ashen” here, and pick up the compilation through Pelagic Records here. There are a ton of awesome names attached to this effort so… have at it.
New Cult of Luna is always worth sharing. Check out “Into the Night”, a track taken from their upcoming new album, The Long Road North. That one drops on February 11th through Metal Blade Records. I know a lot of Nine Circlers have already pre-ordered that one.
There’s a massive of pile of awesomeness today, so let’s see what five or six items I care about most.
I think we should start with Blind Guardian because that’s always a party. Here’s a video for the new single, “Deliver Us From Evil”. That should a offer a decent glimpse of what’s to come on their next full-length, which should be out next September. Get excited.
Stopping by Season of Mist real quick, we have a new video from The Old Dead Tree to share today for “This is No Farewell”. That’s taken from the 2005 release, The Perpetual Motion. If you’re feeling some dark metal on this gloomy day, you’ve come to the right place.
Somebody on the Nine Circles team mentioned Hath as a reason to get excited, so here are the details behind their new album. All That Was Promised is set for a March 4th release through Willowtip Records. Pre-order it through Bandcamp, where you can also check out the new track, titled “Kenosis”.
After this, I get to write about music and alcohol at the same time!
Brand of Sacrifice dropped a reissue of the title track from their most recent album, Lifeblood. The album was released back in March originally, and this version of the track features Will Ramos of Lorna Shore. Give it a listen here.
Updates from Bindrune Recordings are always notable. Nechochwen have returned with the title track from their next album, “Kanawha Black”. Give it a listen here. That album should be out sometime next year, so keep your eye out for more updates.
I’m a really big fan of the new Anomalie album, Tranceformation, so we’ll close with the new video for the third single from that. Check out “Trance I: The Tree”, and remember to pick that album up, which is out November 26th through AOP Records.
