Sorry this is coming at you so late… no I’m not.

  • Lamb of God coming our way with some interesting collaboration updates. Looks like they are teaming up with Nightflyer Roastworks to create what will be called Memento Mori Coffee. Mmmmm… caffeine.
  • A couple new videos today. The first comes from Cult of Lilith, for “Purple Tide”. Their debut full-length drops on September 4th through Metal Blade Records, titled Mara.
  • Anaal Nathrakh will release their 11th full-length, Endarkenment, via Metal Blade Records, on October 2nd. They released the title-track today as well, which is fine. But that album art is, uh, something.
  • Primitive Man dropped a new music video for “Entity”, taken from the upcoming new album, Immersion. That one drops on August 14th through Relapse Records. And yes, it is heavy as shit.

We’re back again folks.  I don’t have much to say except that I’m grateful again for my colleagues and friends who pick up my weekly column when life gets in the way (go check out Corey’s Evcharist from this past week and witness his return to the throne).  This week has had some pretty amazing highs and some pretty serious lows but I’m grateful for the music that’s allowed me to hit the pause button on life along the way.  You’ll find some of our favorite stuff here that we’ve been jamming the last week, as usual, irrelevant of genre and release date constraints.  Just an honest look at what we here listen to in our down time.  Take a look and a listen below, and thanks for checking it out.
