Hey! I’m finally done editing Fire In The Mountains photos! Now what do I do?

Black Tusk have announced some November dates here in the U.S. with Child Bite. Mostly east coast stuff. They’ll also be on the road with Cloak next month in the midwest-ish, if that works better for you.
This is terrible news, but it’s reported that a Slipknot fan died after falling in the mosh pit at the Chicago-area stop on the Knotfest Roadshow. The exact cause is still to be determined, but witnesses noted that he looked totally fine leading up to the incident. Sad, sad stuff.
To switch gears, this is definitely on the lighter side. Nergal (and I believe the rest of his Behemoth bandmates) were booted from a YMCA while on the same Knotfest Roadshow. Not because, well, he’s Nergal. But because he was wearing a Darkthrone shirt, and when asked if he worshiped Jesus… you can probably figure it out. This is literally why I love wearing my Churchburn shirt everywhere.
Four Stroke Baron have announced some live dates in the U.S. this coming November in conjunction with some fresh new live footage at Dogwater Studios. Check it out.

Album Review: Child Bite – “Burnt Offerings: Covers And Rarities 2010-2017”

What strikes you first about Child Bite is that this noise/hardcore band has so much charisma to spare. The band is magnetic in front of a microphone, and, in spite of a multitude of lineup changes, the core of vocalist Shawn Knight and bassist Sean Clancy has been unrelenting over its career spanning more than a dozen EPs and albums. Such is a feat for any band, and its return to Housecore Records (which issued 2016’s Negative Noise and several EPs) may give you a sense of how Child Bite has maintained that spark over time as is offered here on Burnt Offerings: Covers And Rarities 2010-2017. The Brewsome Details: Meg Evans, James Evans, and PGH Brewtal Beer Fest

Metal and Beer are a match made in Heaven (or Hell, whatever). People do enjoy beer that do not enjoy metal and vice versa. You can enjoy one without the other, but putting them together makes everything else in life better (See the Receiving the Eucharist articles my Nine Circles brethren have been doing). So I was elated when I heard that Meg and James Evans were putting together a metal and beer fest called PGH Brewtal Beer Fest. Meg is the head brewer for Pittsburgh’s Rock Bottom and James brews for Spoonwood Brewing Company. Even though they are busy organizing the fest, headbanging, and making beer, Meg and James agreed to take the time to answer some questions, see what they had to say after the jump. CANTO: More Axl Rose – AC/DC Updates, This Is Hardcore Fest, and more

So it really looks like Axl Rose is gonna be a thing with AC/DC after he was seen leaving the same studio as the band. Malcolm Young’s son agrees that he’s joining as well. If that matters.
This Is Hardcore Fest have announced the 2016 lineup. Turning Point and Youth of Today are among some of the highlights.
New tour! Voivod will be touring North America with King Parrot and Child Bite. The tour runs mostly through May and June of this year.
So I’m seeing Mayhem at MDF this year, and this was a cool thing that band did at Inferno Festival. Previous singers Maniac and Messiah joined Attila Csihar for a number of songs. Neat.
Here’s a thing called “Cooking Hostile”. This episode features a Limp Bizkit takeover and well… I kinda chuckled.
