CANTO: Night Demon, Heidevolk, Chrome Waves, and More

I was recently tipped off to this band called Winter’s Gate, and my life has been better for it ever since.

“Ein Bier… bitte.”

CANTO: Rotting Christ, Chrome Waves, Rotten Sound, and More

Let’s build that empire. Or some semblance of one.

  • Rotting Christ surprised us with a new EP today, titled The Apocryphal Spells, Vol. I. That collection, available through Century Media, features studio and live bonus tracks that were previously only available physically. Give it a listen here.
  • Chrome Waves have signed on with M-Theory Audio, and revealed a new video and single titled “Under the Weight of a Billion Souls”. That’s the first taste of an upcoming new album, which is expected sometime in 2023.
  • And we’ll make sure our Thursday includes a little bit of grind. Here is the new song from Rotten Sound, titled “Sharing”. That track is taken from their recently announced new album, Apocalypse, which is set for a March 31 release through Season of Mist.
  • Lastly, we’ll go with the new video from Heroes And Monsters for “Let’s Ride It.” Give it a watch below. Their self-titled debut album will be out on January 20, which you can pick up here.

CANTO: Morne, Imperial Triumphant, Comatose, and More

Imperial Triumphant

Now the challenging task of re-listening to like 60 albums in the next couple of weeks.

“Ein Bier… bitte.”

CANTO: Chrome Waves, Satan, Bleed Someone Dry, and More

Been listening to A LOT of In Flames in recent days. Not gonna explain why just yet.

  • Chrome Waves, a project I caught onto after the release of A Grief Observed in 2018, just completed their second full-length. Where We Live will be out this coming September through Disorder Recordings. Here’s a teaser for those interested.
  • Satan has announced the upcoming release of Early Rituals, which will include a collection of their fully remastered demos. That will be available September 25th through Listenable Records.
  • Mörk Gryning also dropped a teaser for their upcoming new album, Hinsides Vrede, which drops on October 23rd through Season of Mist. Get an idea of what’s upcoming right here.
  • Bleed Someone Dry released a new lyric video today for “Mephistophelian”, which you can check out below. Unorthodox is available now through Wormholedeath / The Orchard.

The Nine Circles Playlist Vol. 69 (03.02.2019)

playlist - mixtape

First off: NICE

Second: holy shit how am I alive right now.  I’ve been sick for pretty much this whole week and folks I gotta say, it’s not fun (although staying home from work has been very choice indeed).  Extreme thanks for picking up my duties this week goes out to my Nine Circles brethren, I’m thankful for the great friends I do this with, including our newest additions to the crew Marie and Charles.  Being sick doesn’t mean I’ve been off my music listening game, though, and neither have my cohorts, so check the link down below for the best of what we’ve been jamming.  We have such sights to show you.
