From there, we have a bit of symphonic black metal to inject today. …And Oceans unveiled a new track, titled “Cloud Heads”, taken from a new album set for a January 27th release. That will be out through Season of Mist, with many more details still to come. We’ll keep you posted.
Closing out, we have a new beastly track from Goatwhore. The visualizer for “Death From Above” is… well, below. Angels Hung from the Arches of Heaven will be out on October 7th through Metal Blade Records. Order that one here.
A few days of calm, before I’m back on the road this coming Thursday.
By far the biggest news of the day emerged from the Lamb of God camp. First off, their next album, Omens, is set to arrive on October 7th through Epic Records. Keep an eye out for “Nevermore” this coming Friday. And then from there, they also announced a massive headlining tour in September and October with the likes of Killswitch Engage, Baroness, Fit For An Autopsy and more (depending on the date).
Not really sure where to go from there to be honest. Oh, new stuff from Boris! “Question 1” has been unveiled, a track that will appear on Heavy Rocks. That album is set for an August 12th release through Relapse.
Fit For An Autopsy have announced a new album, Oh What The Future Holds, which will be out on January 14th through Nuclear Blast. Check out the NSFW video for the first single from that album, “Far From Heaven”, right here.
It’d be a mistake to leave out Imperial Triumphant news. They announced a new live album, An Evening with Imperial Triumphant, which will be out on November 26th through Century Media.
We’ll close out the week with the new video from Swallow The Sun for “Woven Into Sorrow”. Moonflowers is set for a November 19th release through Century Media, and pre-orders for the record officially went live today.
Last Canto of the week. Tomorrow will find me lakeside with a bunch of idiots I call my friends.
Fit For An Autopsy have announced a winter 2022 headlining tour, with support from Enterprise Earth, Ingested, Signs of the Swarm, and Great American Ghost. Those dates kick off January 5th and run through February 12th. Tickets are available here.
Watain, a band I don’t really care about but a lot of other people do, have signed on with Nuclear Blast. As of now, they’ve begun the recording process for a new album, which we can expect sometime in early 2022.
Marc Rizzo has been busy, and revealed a new project today titled Hail The Horns. Get a sample of what’s to come with this lyric video for “God Of Thunder”, a cover of the Kiss classic. But wait, there’s more! Rizzo also has a new solo ‘best of’ album dropping on September 10th, titled Living Shred Vol. 1. That will be out through Godsize Records.
I’m getting more and more excited about Primordial Arcana, the latest album from Wolves in the Throne Room. So we’re going to wrap up today with the new video for “Primal Chasm (Gift of Fire). That album drops on August 20th through Relapse Records.
Kvelertak are the latest band (that I’ve paid attention to at least) to announce a live performance streamed via the interwebs. The show is scheduled for April 10th (this coming Friday) and will be available to view at this location.
Megadeth recently dropped a pre-order for a T-shirt bundle that comes with a mask, because of the all this COVID-19 stuff. A portion of the proceeds are going to relief efforts. Interestingly, I no longer see the item on the website. Did it sell out already? Hmm…
