Unearth have announced some North American dates with Upon A Burning Body and 156/Silence, kicking off May 4 in Lubbock, Texas. Tickets go on sale this coming Friday. That run, of course, will be in support of The Wretched; The Ruinous, which drops on May 5 through Century Media.
French doom metal project Hangman’s Chair revealed a previously unreleased track from Loner, and as a result it’s now a new single, titled “Spleenwise”. Give it a listen here. That album dropped early in 2022 through Nuclear Blast. Finally, if you happen to be across the Atlantic, they’re on tour with Amenra, Der Weg einer Freiheit, and Igorrr. Which is, frankly, incredible.
Veil Of Maya announced details surrounding their first album in over half a decade. That effort, [m]other, will be out through Sumerian Records on May 12. Check out the brand new track, “Red Fur”, here. They’re also on tour in April and May with Avatar and Orbit Culture.
Let’s make tours a theme today. Currents are on the road with Like Moths to Flames and a few other bands I’m too lazy to type out this coming May and June. Tickets go on sale, you guessed it, this coming Friday. Oh, and The Death We Seek is out May 5 through SharpTone Records.

Coming at ya late because… beers.

Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly happenings are emerging, and a more recent announcement has caught my attention. Gorguts will be performing a special Obscura and Considered Dead set next April 14, the first day of the festival. Also, their first live show in six years. Awesome. Here’s the ticket link, obviously.
Igorrr have announced a later 2023 North American tour with Melt-Banana and Otto Von Schirach. Those dates are in September and October, and tickets go on sale Friday (which is how these updates usually work). I won’t be at this one, but if you plan on catching it… have fun!
And then we have Eluveitie, who dropped a new lyric video for “Exile of the Gods”. I’m pretty sure there’s a music video for that same track out there, too… Anyway, if you’re in Europe you can catch them live with Amorphis throughout this month, basically.
Obscura have a complete works anniversary bundle available through Nuclear Blast here, and today they revealed a new video for “Heritage”. And that’s how we’re going to close out our day. That track is another one from Valediction, which dropped last year.

One more day…

Emma Ruth Rundle, who had just been announced as a performer at FITM 2022, dropped a new track titled “Blooms of Oblivion”. That’s another one taken from Engine of Hell, which is out on November 5th through Sargent House.
Khemmis have announced some West Coast dates next January, supporting Deceiver. Not a thing I can do unfortunately, but tickets go on sale Friday for those that can. As a reminder, that album is out on November 19th through Nuclear Blast.
The primary tour announcement of the day, however, came from Cannibal Corpse, who announced a run of shows in February and March with the likes of Whitechapel, Revocation, and Shadow Of Intent. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
American Teeth have announced that their debut album, We Should Be Having Fun, will be out on October 29th through Fearless Records, along with a new video for the track “Kickflip”. Give that a listen right here.

There is simply too much going on.

Denouncement Pyre, a name I haven’t mentioned in quite some time, have announced that they’ve signed on with Agonia Records. They’re currently working on their fourth album, following up 2016’s Black Sun Unbound, with details still to come.
Igorrr have announced a North American tour next February and March with Melt-Banana and Vowws. This will be their first trek in support of Spirituality and Distortion, which is pretty cool. There’s some time to kill before these dates, but you can find tickets here.
Is there anybody out there that can help me get my hands on some Insomnium Helles? There are some metal/alcohol collaborations that I’m happy to just scroll past… but definitely not this one.
And we’ll close with the new visualizer from Finnish symphonic metal band Abstrakt. This is “Inferno”, taken from Uncreation, which dropped back in February of this year through Inverse Records.

Reporting from the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Insomnium and Omnium Gatherum have announced an exclusive live streamed concert that will take place on April 10th at 12:00 pm. Tickets are very affordable, so I encourage every single one of you to “attend” this. Personally, I can’t fucking wait.
Have some money to burn while hiding out in quarantine? How about Nameless Ghoul or Papa Nihil statues? These are expensive, but stunning, and are surely on every Ghost fan’s wish list.
Couple new videos to share today, and the first comes from Sylosis. This is a live clip of “Cycle of Suffering”, performed at their album release show in London earlier this year.
And secondly, we have a new video from Igorrr for “Downgrade Desert”. That track is taken from their recently released new album, Spirituality and Distortion, available through Metal Blade Records.
