Veil Of Maya announced details surrounding their first album in over half a decade. That effort, [m]other, will be out through Sumerian Records on May 12. Check out the brand new track, “Red Fur”, here. They’re also on tour in April and May with Avatar and Orbit Culture.
This week is starting to taper off, and I’m really excited about it.
So this sounds really freaking cool. Sólstafir and Vreid are teaming up for a very unique concert stream, scheduled for October 15th and taking place on the mountaintops of Iceland and Norway. It’s scheduled for 3:00 PM EST, and you can tune in here.
This is a Europe thing I can’t participate in, but for those that can… I’m jealous. Arcturus and Iotunn have a run of shows planned in January and February of next year. Having seen Arcturus live once before, I would love to do that again someday in a not-MDF setting.
Monuments released the first single off of their upcoming new album, the name of which either does not exist yet or I simply can’t find. Anyway, that will be out sometime in 2022, and the clip for “Lavos” can be seen here.
Happy Tuesday, everyone. I missed yesterday’s news because work was just that. much. fun.
Let’s start with a tour, because seeing those again still makes me happy. August Burns Red have announced a headlining tour in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Leveler. Those dates are in September and October, with support provided by Fit For A King, Erra, and Like Moths To Flames. Tickets go on sale Friday here, and feel free to pick up a copy of that record here.
The biggest news of the day probably came from Slipknot, who have announced Knotfest Iowa 2021, as well as a return to the studio. Most importantly, that festival is set for September 25th, and will feature the likes of Trivium, Faith No More, Megadeth, and so many more. Get all the details at this location.
