Back-to-back gnarly work days. I can’t wait for the next 30 years to go by!…?

Since Season of Mist has officially been announced as the Nine Circles Label of the Year for 2022, we’ll bookend this post with stuff out of that camp. First, we have Sortilège. The French heavy metallers just signed a deal with the label, as they prepare for the release of Apocalypso, which we can expect on March 3rd.
Berlin-based sludge trio Treedeon are releasing their third full-length, New World Hoarder, on March 17th through Exile On Mainstream. Check out this brief teaser to get a taste of what’s to come.
Whoa. Previously unreleased Motörhead? Sign me the Hell up. Here’s a brand new clip for “Greedy Bastards”. Bad Magic: Seriously Bad Magic is out on February 24th and can be pre-ordered here.
Closing out, we have the latest single from Ne Obliviscaris, titled “Graal”. The video for that is immediately below, and just a reminder that Exul is set for a March 24th release through Season of Mist.

If you’re into wrestling (it can be fun) and also into Motörhead (which you obviously are), this release is a must. Evolution Of The Game, a collection of the Motörhead tracks crafted for Triple H’s entrance, is finally available.
Korn have released a cover of “The Devil Went Down To Georgia”, which is a combination I can absolutely see working. I haven’t listened to it yet, but you can do so here. Let me know how it goes. Thanks.
Rebaelliun are preparing a new album for a release this coming fall, which we know very little about to this point. The good news is, however, that we get a sampling of what’s to come with the new track “Vile”.
Crippled Black Phoenix have announced a new album, Ellengæst, which drops on October 9th through Season of Mist. The first single off that album, “Cry of Love”, is available for streaming now.

Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister will have his story shared as a biopic, which we should all be excited for. Depending on how things play out, it looks like production could start early next year.
I’m pretty much fed up with the world, so I’m going to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to invest in this Black Sabbath shirt. Proceeds go directly to Black Live Matter, so make it happen.
Ihsahn and Trivium‘s Matt Heafy are coming together for a black metal project titled Mrityu, which I think most of us already knew. Well, we have a real update from the studio to share today.
Varathron has announced a new live album, Glorification Under The Latin Moon, will drop on September 25th through Agonia Records. The album features footage from their 30th anniversary tour.
And we’ll close with a new music video from Kaamos Warriors for “Kuilu”. Their next album, titled Kirous, will be out sometime later this year.

I ran out of witty introductions six weeks ago, if anyone happened to notice.

Insomnium is planning an exclusive live stream of a performance of 2016’s Winter’s Gate in its entirety (among other tracks) on May 29th at 1:00 PM EDT. Better still, the broadcast will be available a full week after the performance.
Lock Up have officially announced their new drummer. Adam Jarvis (Misery Index, Pig Destroyer) will take over following the departure of Nick Barker. I support this addition.
Just a heads up, Motörhead Day 2020 is coming up on Friday. Yes, on the 40th anniversary of Ace of Spades, we are all invited to share in the celebration of all things Motörhead. And I can assure you I will be doing exactly that.
I’ve always wanted to go to Ascension Festival, so let’s close with a live music video from The Order Of Apollyon for the track “The Lies Of Moriah” taken from that specific event. Enjoy.

Dark-Tranquillity

We haven’t talked Dark Trangquillity in a little while, so let’s start there. The Swedes are back in the studio. Which is good news. Because 2013’s Construct didn’t suck. And that was also three years ago.
Whitechapel have released a new track called “The Void”… Ok then, moving on to more important matters.
This is stupid, but I still want to share it. Zakk Wylde now has his own emoji set. They are in an app store or something and probably not free.
You know who also released a new track? Inquisition. It’s called “Wings of Anu” and… it’s fine I guess.
