CANTO: October Tide, Full of Hell, Deicide, and More

Remember when we used to call these “quickies”? Well, I have places to be so that kind of applies today.

  • We’ll start with October Tide who premiered the video for “Unprecedented Aggression”. That track is taken from the band’s seventh studio album, The Cancer Pledge, which is available through Agonia Records.
  • Deicide dropped their 13th album today, Banished by Sin, which is out through Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM)… and somehow I missed that one. No matter. To celebrate, a video for the opening track, “From Unknown Heights You Shall Fall”, can be seen here.
  • Of Virtue unveiled some North American headlining dates throughout 2024, which follows a run supporting Imminence. Check out their full touring plans here.
  • Thy Will Be Done released a beast of a new track today titled “Prelude To Apostasy“, and a video for that premiered over at Metal Injection. That’s their first new material in four years so… that’s awesome. Let’s see what comes next.
  • Full of Hell released Coagulated Bliss to the masses today, through Closed Casket Activities, and they marked the occasion with a video for “Fractured Bonds to Mecca”. Give that a watch below and catch them somewhere on the road over the next few weeks.

CANTO: Creeping Death, Of Virtue, Izrod, and More

This week is off to a wonderful start. At least I got a day on the ridge in yesterday.

  • Yeah I guess we can start with some metalcore. Michigan-based Of Virtue are releasing their new album, Omen, on September 29 via Arising Empire. The collection will feature the Sinner EP as well as eight additional tracks. That’s up for pre-orders here.
  • Bay Area brutal death metal and hardcore act Snuffed On Sight are releasing their debut LP, Smoke, through Creator-Destructor Records and Maggot Stomp. “Time 2 Dip” is premiering over at Slam Worldwide.
  • Signal Rex announced July 14 as the physical release date for Sarajevski Odisej, the debut from black metal collective Izrod. As it happens, you can stream that album in full here.
  • Post-metal crew A Light Within dropped a video for “Count With Your Eyes”, which you can stream over at Audioeclectica. Seems like there’s a series of singles coming prior to any full-length album announcement.
  • With Boundless Domain out this coming Friday, wrapping up with Creeping Death makes sense. Below is the new single and video for “Vitrified Earth”. That new album is out through MNRK Heavy, and they have plenty of tour dates over the next couple of months. Just FYI.
