• I’m excited about the new album from Psycroptic, so that sounds like a good way to open Saturday morning. The Pulse Of Annihilation is slated for July 17th through Metal Blade and “No Blade of Grass” is evidence enough that we are in for a treat.
• Avant-grand extreme metal crew Squid Pisser (ridiculously awesome name) are dropping Throat Slave on August 28th through SKiN GRAFT Records and SWEATBAND Records. They celebrated that announcement with a video for the new track “Mucus”.
• Maryland alternative metal outfit Savage Hands shared their newest track, “It’s Me”. Out through Oxide Music, it’s got hooks. It’s got bite. It’s metalcore. You get what you get, and that’s not a bad thing. They’re also on tour with Of Virtue next month. Here are those dates if you care.
• I saw the Colorblind name kicked around a bit yesterday, so let’s close with the video for their new single “Chemical Warfare”. The Austin quartet is releasing Who Sold You This Truth ++ Was It Yours To Hold, their debut, on August 28th through Solid State.
