CANTO: Deafheaven, Behemoth, Dornenreich, and More

I don’t even know where to begin with today’s updates!

  • Yes I do. It’s Deafheaven. All the details we were looking for regarding a new album are with us now. Infinite Granite will be out on August 20th through Sargent House, and can be pre-ordered here. Better yet, you can check out the first new track from that album, “Great Mass of Color”, through either YouTube or Bandcamp.
  • And then we’ll slide into a tour announcement. John 5 will be cruising through the U.S. this coming August and September with Jared James Nichols, Sarah Longfield, and Black Satellite. Tickets are on sale now, and can be scooped up here.
  • I’ve heard a lot of good things about the new Dornenreich album, Du wilde Liebe sei, but I haven’t checked anything out myself yet. That will change today with the release of “Das Sehnen von Mond und Sonne”, available for streaming here. That album is out this coming Friday through Prophecy.
  • And we’ll close with the new video from Behemoth, a band I don’t mention nearly as much as I used to. It’s for “Shadows Ov Ea Cast Upon Golgotha”, which is taken from last year’s EP, A Forest. Check it out below.

CANTO: Deafheaven, Nonpoint, Beyond Creation, and More

What a fucking day. And I actually need to work a full week this week. The WORST.

  • But at least we can start with Deafheaven news. Album number five appears set for an August 20th release through Sargent House. I’ve heard rumors regarding the album name and all that, but I’ll spare the gossip until I hear more. Either way, yay.
  • Beyond Creation have announced a signature beer, as part of Vox&Hops’ Brewtal North America. The “Entre Stout Et Mirage” will be a stout with Brazilian coffee and amburana, and was created in collaboration with Overhop Canada. All those brews officially drop the week of June 21st.
  • Anti-Flag have announced a North American tour, which will include two legs. The first run is in September with Dog Party, Grumpster, and Oxymorrons, and then the second leg falls in November with Bad Cop/Bad Cop and Doll Skin. Tickets are available here.
  • And we’ll close with the very fresh new video from Nonpoint for “Ruthless”. Legit, this just premiered a couple hours ago. “Ruthless” is the title-track from their latest EP, available here. Ok, I gotta run. Quite literally.

CANTO: Altarage, Iotunn, Bridge Burner, and More

One more day and then a four day weekend. Hot. Damn.

  • There are a couple new videos to share today that I’ve been intrigued by. Let’s start with Jaye Jayle, who released a new clip for “From Louisville”. That track was the closer from 2020’s Prisyn, which is available through Sargent House.
  • Spanish extreme metal crew Altarage have revealed new album details. Succomb is slated for an April 23rd release through Season of Mist. Go watch the video clip for the first single from that album, “Magno Evento”, right now.
  • New Zealand’s Bridge Burner have announced their Hibernation Release debut. Disempath will be out on April 2nd and can be pre-ordered here. There are a couple vinyl variants out there, which is fun. Check out the title-track, over at Decibel.
  • And we’ll close with the new video and single from Iotunn. I know Access All Worlds is a release quite a few of the 9C team are looking forward to, so here’s another sample in the form of “The Tower of Cosmic Nihility”. That album drops on February 26th through Metal Blade.
