CANTO: Yob, Maul, Tanith, and More

This week weirdly flew by. Also, Kamelot sucks.

CANTO: Cannibal Corpse, Igorrr, Khemmis, and More

Cannibal Corpse

One more day…

  • Emma Ruth Rundle, who had just been announced as a performer at FITM 2022, dropped a new track titled “Blooms of Oblivion”. That’s another one taken from Engine of Hell, which is out on November 5th through Sargent House.
  • Khemmis have announced some West Coast dates next January, supporting Deceiver. Not a thing I can do unfortunately, but tickets go on sale Friday for those that can. As a reminder, that album is out on November 19th through Nuclear Blast.
  • The primary tour announcement of the day, however, came from Cannibal Corpse, who announced a run of shows in February and March with the likes of Whitechapel, Revocation, and Shadow Of Intent. Tickets go on sale this Friday.
  • American Teeth have announced that their debut album, We Should Be Having Fun, will be out on October 29th through Fearless Records, along with a new video for the track “Kickflip”. Give that a listen right here.
  • And we’ll wrap up the day with the new live video from Igorrr for “Camel Dancefloor”. That footage is from the Pol’And’Rock Festival from back in July. Give it a watch below.

The Nine Circles Audio Thing: Deafheaven was August 2021’s Album of the Month!

Episode 96 of The Nine Circles Audio Thing covers the fifth full length from Deafheaven, Infinite Granite. Buke once again captains the episode with Hera, Ian, Angela, and Vincent in tow as they break down the album, band, and how this one lands in the trajectory of one of blackgaze’s most enigmatic bands.

CANTO: Anomalie, Deathsomnia, Kowloon Walled City, and More

Days off no longer exist. Apparently. Late-stage capitalism sure is fun.

  • Anomalie, one my favorite black metal projects, has set November 5th as the release date for Tranceformation. Their fourth studio album will be out through AOP Records, and you can stream the first new track from that effort, “Trance II: Relics”, right here.
  • Deathsomnia released You Will Never Find Peace last Friday through Isolation Records, and today they gave us a new video for “Void Oblivion”. That track features Gabriel Franco of Unto Others (formerly Idle Hands), which is an added bonus.
  • And then we’ve got new material from Emma Ruth Rundle, another one of my personal favorites. Engine of Hell is also set for a November 5th release through Sargent House, and a clip for “Return” is available right here.
  • Oh shit! I almost forgot about this from yesterday. Kowloon Walled City officially have a new album on the horizon. Piecework will be out on October 8th through Gilead Media and Neurot Recordings.
  • Zombies are fun, so let’s close with the new clip from Ice Nine Kills for “Rainy Day”. That’s taken from their upcoming new album, The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood, which is out on October 15th through Fearless Records.
