CANTO: Interesting Times Gang, Abysmal Lord, Exocrine, and More

And now the Acadia countdown is officially on.

  • We’ll start with a new signing announcement over at Season of Mist. French tech death collective Exocrine have joined their roster, fresh off the release of The Hybrid Suns, their fifth full-length. You can stream that here, and get a sense of what’s to come.
  • Over at Hells Headbangers, Abysmal Lord revealed the first track from their upcoming third album. Give “Antisemen of Ceremonial Pseudochrist” a listen here, and prepare for the release of Bestiary of Immortal Hunger before the end of the year.
  • Interesting Times Gang, the solo project of Kowloon Walled City’s Ian Miller, will release The Spirit Of Science Fiction on November 18th through Pax Aeternum. Give “If You Don’t Wanna Play” a listen over on Bandcamp. And pre-order it, obviously.
  • We can end our Monday on more of a punk note. Below is the new music video from Sator for “Brown Eyed Son”. That track is taken from Return of the Barbie-Q-Killers, which dropped earlier this year through Sound Pollution.

CANTO: The Defaced, SepticFlesh, Midnight, and More

Each week seems to be slightly weirder than the last.

  • Midnight has their new album out today, Let There Be Witchery, so we’ll lead off with the new video for “Szex Witchery”. It’s a lot of fun, I promise. Anyway, their fifth full-length is out through Metal Blade, just in case you still need it.
  • Acid Witch and Cloak are hitting the road together this coming May, starting on the 9th in Chicago. I know a few fans of both projects that will certainly be in attendance.
  • SepticFlesh have a new album on the horizon. Modern Primitive is scheduled for a May 20th release through Nuclear Blast. The first single taken from their 11th album, “Hierophant”, is available here.
  • As long as Meshuggah keeps unveiling new material, I’m going to keep sharing it. “Light The Shortening Fuse” is the latest track taken from Immutable, which drops on April 1st through Atomic Fire.
  • And we’ll wrap up with the new video from The Defaced. Their new album, Charlatans, is also out today through Sound Pollution, and the new video for “Wreck” is immediately below.

“Ein Bier… bitte.”
