CANTO: Within Temptation, Thy Art Is Murder, Killswitch Engage, and More

WithinTemptation.3.3.19.126

I’m making a lot of cold brew. Weird, right?

  • Thy Art Is Murder announced a North American tour with Cannibal Corpse. They cover a lot of ground in October and mostly November, so check them out in a city near you.
  • Within Temptation canceled their set at a festival in Lebanon in response to another band, Mashrou’ Leila, being forced off the bill by Christian groups that apparently took issue with their openly gay singer and lyrical content, from what I read. I commend Within Temptation.
  • In case you wanted to see the cover artwork for Tool’s upcoming Fear Inoculum, here you go.
  • Check out this music video from Killswitch Engage for “I Am Broken Too”. It’s very Killswitch Engaging, and if you like clean vocal KSE, you’ll be all about this. Atonement drops on August 16th via Metal Blade.

“Reason as name, reason as light. Descending to the sink of iniquity. To bond the bright flame of old mother night. Extending his reign, defining ubiquity.”

CANTO: DevilDriver and Thy Art Is Murder tours, a new Gorguts track, and more

I’ll be honest, this is probably going to be the last one of these for the week. So let’s make it count! Or not.

Canto: Updates from Lindemann, Lamb of God, Thy Art is Murder, and More!

lindemann

Hello. It’s Friday. Let’s get weird.

  • Obviously, we’re all a little curious about Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann‘s new project, Lindemann. Some further details emerged today, as it turns out Carach Angren keyboardist Ardek will be contributing orchestral arrangements.
  • Well, we finally have some legitimate evidence that a new Lamb of God record is coming in the near future. And by “near future” I mean “probably 2016.” Better than nothing, I guess.
  • Here’s a new tour alert for your Friday: Veil of Maya, Revocation, Oceano and others will be hitting the road together in May and June. That could be fun…for people other than me.
  • Thy Art is Murder almost wanted to make noise with the cover of their upcoming album, Holy War. It looks innocent enough now…but it almost featured a suicide bomber. That probably wouldn’t have gone over well.
  • Finally, because it’s Friday, you’re getting a David Hasselhoff music video. Because it’s metal as all hell.

You must be entertained!
