Things I’m Thankful For…

Death Metal

I’ve got a lot to be thankful for in my personal life. At home, at work and right here at Nine Circles. I’ve had opportunities that otherwise I would still be dreaming of and met several people that I now hold as dear friends. But what am I most thankful for in metal? In two words, death metal. Formed from the ashes of the legendary Swedish death crew Nirvana 2002, Under the Church indisputably has the lineage in place to stand out in the everswelling sea of retro-sounding bands. On their debut fulllength, Rabid Armageddon, it’s as if the old school of Swedish death is in session and the band puts together a pretty compelling lecture on how to bludgeon a listener to oblivion.
