CANTO: DevilDriver, Black Lava, Rotten Sound, and More

Alright. It’s March. When can I start going outside comfortably? Please?

CANTO: Deviant Process, Bad Omens, Buckcherry, and More

I think I’m ready to buy a new camera. Fun fact.

  • Sure, we can start with Buckcherry I suppose. They’re teaming up with The Lacs for a winter tour kicking off on January 7th in Texas. Tickets, including VIP packages, go on sale this Friday at this location.
  • Underoath, a thing I’ve personally never cared for but many people very much do, have announced the “Digital Ghost” cinematic concert. It’s set for December 3rd, and serves as your first chance to hear Voyeurist in full. As a reminder, that album officially drops on January 14th.
  • Bad Omens are dropping a new album on February 25th, titled The Death of Peace of Mind. That will be out through Sumerian Records, and you can watch the video for the title track right now.
  • Délétère and Sarkrista are releasing a new split on December 2th through Sepulchral Productions. You can purchase that here, which you should, because these projects are pretty dope.
  • We’ll wrap up Wednesday with the new video from Deviant Process, for “Emergence”. Their new album, Nurture, dropped back on October 15th through Season of Mist.

CANTO: Waldgeflüster, Rotting Christ, Cradle of Filth, and More

Oh good, the start of another fucking work week.

  • One of my favorite black metal projects, Waldgeflüster, are releasing their sixth album on September 24th. Dahoam will be out through AOP Records, and you can check out the lyric video for the first single, “Im Ebersberger Forst”, right here.
  • Rotting Christ are reissuing Der Perfekte Traum on vinyl, an EP originally released back in 1999. It will be available on September 3rd, with a couple different variants, exclusively through Vinylstore.gr.
  • Cradle of Filth have announced a special Halloween show, which will take place at The Roundhouse in London. It’ll serve as the album release show for Existence Is Futile, which drops on the 22nd through Nuclear Blast. And a memorable release show I’m sure it will be.
  • I can’t tell if this is old news or not, so I’m throwing it in anyway. Underoath have announced a 2022 North American headlining tour with support from Every Time I Die and Spiritbox. That run of shows kicks off February 18th in Dallas, and runs through March 25th in Atlanta.
  • And we’ll close with some more black metal. This is the incredibly entertaining new music video from Furze for “Black Psych Tormentor”. That’s the title-track from a new album, set for an October 22nd release.

CANTO: Archspire, Deafheaven, Deathsomnia, and More

Coming at you a little later tonight because… reasons.

  • We’ll start with Archspire, because that’s a popular thing around these parts. They have a new album, titled Bleed the Future, dropping on October 29th through Season of Mist. Check out the music video for the first single, “Golden Mouth of Ruin” right here.
  • A couple videos to send your way tonight, and the next one comes from Deathsomnia. Here’s the clip for “Akinesia”, which is a track taken from You Will Never Find Peace. That album is out on September 3rd through Isolation Records. Pre-orders are available here.
  • Underoath is apparently still a thing. Their seventh studio album, Voyeurist, is set for a January 14th release through Fearless Records. There’s a new single out, well ahead of that release date I’ll add, titled “Hallelujah”. I know like three people that are going to be absolutely psyched about this news.
  • Obviously we’re going to round the day off with the new music video from Deafheaven for “In Blur”, the third and final single from Infinite Granite. Just a reminder, that album drops on August 20th through Sargent House… and I cannot wait to get my copy in the mail.

CANTO: Devin Townsend, Loviatar, Wednesday 13, and More

devin townsend

Slow day but let’s try and whip something up. And then I guess I’ll go to the mountains.

  • Devin Townsend is preparing for an enhanced released of 2019’s Empath. This release, titled Empath – The Ultimate Edition, will feature the original record as well as a couple Blu-Ray discs that feature bonus material, documentary footage, and more. And it will be out on June 5th.
  • Loviatar have a new album dropping on Friday (April 3rd) called Lightless through Prosthetic Records. If you’ve needed some doom in your life, you can get a sample of that record today through the new music video for “Horse In Thrall”.
  • Looks like Atreyu have released a song with M. Shadows (Avenged Sevenfold) and Aaron Gillespie (Underoath). That’s interesting. The song is called “Super Hero”, and you can check out here if you feel so inclined.
  • Lastly, we’ll close with a new lyric video from Wednesday 13 for “The Hearse”. That is taken from the most recent album, Necrophaze, which is out now on Nuclear Blast. Enjoy.
