Squeezing one more in this week, just because I was cleaning out the inbox anyway.
We’ll start with Anomalie, one of my favorite discoveries of the last couple years. Their new album, Tranceformation, is out on November 5th through AOP Records, and today they shared a new track titled “Cerulean Sun”, which features Sakis Tolis of Rotting Christ. Awesome.
Wiegedood, which is kinda just fun to say (assuming I’m saying it right), dropped a new track today titled “Nuages”. That’s taken from their upcoming new album, There’s Always Blood At The End Of The Road, which will be available on January 14th through Century Media.
I guess we’re going to double up on Century Media today as well. Omnium Gatherum (also fun to say) released a video for the new track “Fortitude”. Origin is out on November 5th, and the aforementioned video is available below. Enjoy that while I finalize packing for L.A.

Anomalie, one my favorite black metal projects, has set November 5th as the release date for Tranceformation. Their fourth studio album will be out through AOP Records, and you can stream the first new track from that effort, “Trance II: Relics”, right here.
Deathsomnia released You Will Never Find Peace last Friday through Isolation Records, and today they gave us a new video for “Void Oblivion”. That track features Gabriel Franco of Unto Others (formerly Idle Hands), which is an added bonus.
And then we’ve got new material from Emma Ruth Rundle, another one of my personal favorites. Engine of Hell is also set for a November 5th release through Sargent House, and a clip for “Return” is available right here.
Oh shit! I almost forgot about this from yesterday. Kowloon Walled City officially have a new album on the horizon. Piecework will be out on October 8th through Gilead Media and Neurot Recordings.
Zombies are fun, so let’s close with the new clip from Ice Nine Kills for “Rainy Day”. That’s taken from their upcoming new album, The Silver Scream 2: Welcome To Horrorwood, which is out on October 15th through Fearless Records.
I had a plan in January. The same plan I have every January: to only document the albums that strike a major chord in one way or another. Yet, here we sit in December and I’m debating on at least one or two of my locked list and mourning those who fell off. Don’t take ‘fell off’ as a knock either. It simply means there was no shortage of amazing albums this year and well, I just enjoy the torture of whittling away on my favorites (not).
I’ve spoken at length about how important music is for life in general and how important it is for me as someone that had a finger on the play button for nearly all 8,760 hours that made up this year. EOY lists, I love them – always have and always will. It’s a chance to purge all the best and move on to yet another cycle into the unknown. As I write this I’ve got some furious death metal punching holes in my eardrums and some really freakin’ phenomenal bourbon coating my insides. So, a good Friday…wait, Saturday. I don’t know, it’s late or early – whatever. Anyway, Thanksgiving is closing in which, in the metal and music world in general, means EOY time. Yea, I saw the Decibel thing get blasted because some dope leaked it but I didn’t read ahead to see what they picked – all it really did was remind me that I’ve got to start whittling my own list down and decide on this year’s bounty (it’s a must that I stock my liquor cabinet well). Moving on, we’ve got another stacked playlist in store for you below that, more than likely, features songs that will be attending EOY parties across the globe. But the point to this is these are all songs we’ve been cranking lately and we wanted to share the joy. So, BEHOLD, Vol. 56 awaits…
