CANTO: Night Demon, Heidevolk, Chrome Waves, and More

I was recently tipped off to this band called Winter’s Gate, and my life has been better for it ever since.

CANTO: Mercury Circle, Paladin, Blindfolded and Led to the Woods, and More

Alright, today was a little less stupid than yesterday, and I’ll take it.

  • Paladin has announced the “Shredocalypse” U.S. tour, which will also feature Immortal Guardian and Unleash the Archers for a couple of dates. The tour kicks off on August 17th and runs through September 11th, with more dates to be announced later, apparently.
  • Prosthetic Records have added a new name to their roster. Blindfolded and Led to the Woods have signed on and have already started writing their follow-up to Nightmare Withdrawals, which was self-released earlier this year. Looks like we can expect a new album early(?) in 2022.
  • Chicago-based black metal project Annihilus has announced a new album, Follow A Song From The Sky, which is set for an August 13th release through Federal Prisoner. Pre-order the album here, and keep an eye out for a new track titled “Draw the Beast”, which is floating around somewhere.
  • And we’ll wrap up our Tuesday with Mercury Circle, who have shared a track from their upcoming debut full-length, Killing Moons. That album is set for an October 8th release through Noble Demon, but you can peep the new clip for “Black Mirrors” below. Enjoy.

CANTO: Heavy Temple, Blindfolded and Led to the Woods, The Hate Club, and More

Not gonna lie, I have totally lost track of what day it is. October?

  • Let’s kick things off with some news out of the Heavy Temple camp, a band I haven’t mentioned in quite some time. The psychedelic doomers have signed on to a deal with Magnetic Eye Records, as they prepare for a new full-length release later this year.
  • Blindfolded and Led to the Woods are releasing their third full-length, Nightmare Withdrawals, on March 26th through Landmine Records. Pre-order it through Bandcamp (duh), and check out “Atop the Wings of a Magpie” while you’re over there.
  • Timo Ellis, the frontman from Netherlands, is releasing a solo EP titled Death Is Everywhere in late February. Give this quick teaser a watch and keep an eye out for more info regarding pre-orders and all that in the days to come.
  • Industrial project known as The Hate Club dropped a new animated video a few days ago. Check out “My Name Is Legion” immediately below.
