For the first time ever, I voted in the New Hampshire Primary for somebody that isn’t Vermin Supreme. Aren’t you proud of me?

Another day, another tour announcement. Disturbed and Breaking Benjamin have announced a co-headlining tour that kicks off, well, tomorrow and runs basically through the summer. Another assist to Sarah for this one.
God DAMMIT another tour. Lamb of God with Clutch and Corrosion of Conformity. Late April through early June. Lots of potential with this one.
Migration Fest had been holding out on their main headliner for a couple weeks now. Today we got what we wanted. It came as no surprise, but it is no less exciting, that the headlining act is Panopticon.
You know? Let’s get weird. More festival news! Rammstein have announced that they will be headlining Chicago Open Air Festival. I’m just happy to see that my favorite industrial act is getting around again.

With only a few short days left in 2015, we have reached the beginning of the end of our Best of 2015 series. But fret not, there are still plenty of awesome lists to come and plenty of awesome bands to feature. With that said, allow me to introduce 2015’s best albums as chosen by Lift The Medium. Lift The Medium is a hard rock group out of Cincinnati whose sound is influenced by, well, a variety of different artists. Instead of any individual artist from the group sharing their list, Lift The Medium came together to compile this list. And let me tell you, it is diverse to say the least. Check it out below.

Quickies: The Return of Sanctuary, the End of Nuclear Assault (?) and more

Early Quickies??? Early Quickies!!! Let’s not waste any time, folks–here’s what we missed in the world of metal today:

Losing sleep agonizing over what the new At the Gates album’s going to look like? Of course you weren’t. That’s okay, they’ve got you covered anyway.
Nevermore frontman Warrel Dane got back together with his old band Sanctuary, and they’ve released their first new song in 25 years. Check it out.
For some reason, Mudvayne is apparently still a thing. Goddammit.
Also in “Goddammit,” apparently Breaking Benjamin have reunited. Fuck this awful band too.
Are Nuclear Assault calling it a day? Sure seems like it, based on this statement from Dan Lilker.
And finally, HammerFall released a video for their new single, “Hector’s Hymn.” You can check it out below:

True story: this is actually the first HammerFall song I’ve listened to since “Hearts on Fire.” Which came out 12 years ago. Somehow, I don’t regret not keeping up with them. Shocking, I know! Anyway, that’ll do it for today. Check back tomorrow for more Horns Up!
