Chris Adler had a pretty good run with Megadeth, or so we thought. Looks like the drummer is out of the mix going forward. Now what will Dave do?
130 individuals have been arrested for association with a crime ring in Houston directed at vehicles and trailers of musicians. We all know about these issues, but this is a very good thing regardless.
I was on the fence about the second Blind Guardian tour in the past 12 months. Now I’m more committed. They will be playing Imaginations From The Other Side in full when they make their way across North America this fall.
This was a sobering event from this past weekend. Primus drummer Tim Alexander suffered a second heart attack. He seems to be home resting at this point. All the best to him.
Sepultura debuted a new song live. It’s called “I Am The Enemy”. Check it out.

CANTO: A new song from Ihsahn, updates from Goatwhore, and more

Looks like that Chris Adler experiment with Megadeth has been going well. Dave Mustaine has come out and said that if the Lamb of God man wants the gig… it’s all his.
We haven’t album sales in a reason (for a good reason, I assure you). But why not take a look now? There weren’t any big new releases to speak of, but you can see how the likes of Inverloch and Wolvserpent stacked up.
Goatwhore is back in the studio tracking new music! There’s a chance their seventh album could be out some time later this year.
Anybody else super jacked up about Ihsahn newest album, Arktis., set to drop on April 8th. Until then, you can stream a new track called “Pressure” here.
And there was also that ridiculous video of Aric Improta backflipping between drum kits. Just… not human.

CANTO: The upcoming Behemoth European tour is going to be awesome.

I had the last two days off from work, which was great. I go back to work tomorrow, which isn’t great. But it’s Friday, so that is great. Great.

Wow. Just… wow. Check out Behemoth‘s epic plans to tour The Satanist in full on an upcoming European tour. Looks like I’m going abroad in the near future.
Randy Blythe is effing awesome. The Lamb of God frontman has vowed to leave the United States if that asshat Trump wins the presidential election. I sure hope he takes me with him.
Megadeth have confirmed that Chris Adler will be playing drums on their upcoming tour. Which is awesome for people that are going to be in attendance. I will not be among them.
To help boost attention to the upcoming Anthrax album called For All Kings, they will be releasing custom playing cards a little over a month in advance that will feature a download code with two tracks. Cool idea.
New Killswitch Engage is pleasantly heavy. It’s called “Strength of the Mind.”

CANTO: Watain/Mayhem tour news, Megadeth footage, and another arrest for Phil Rudd

I finally installed my air conditioner. This is a time for celebration.

So this first came up back in June, but more troubling news as emerged from After the Burial earlier today. Guitarist Justin Lowe, who recently suffered a paranoid episode, has gone missing. Our thoughts are with all involved.
Tour alert: Watain, Mayhem, and Rotting Christ will be touring later this year. The tour kicks off November 5th and will run through the end of the month.
Well, looks like ex-AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was arrested again. This time for drinking with prostitutes. This was a violation of his home detention, which was supposed to span eight months.
If you wanted to know what Megadeth looked and sounded like with Chris Adler and Kiko Loureiro, here’s some footage for ya. They sound fine. Dave, well, sounds like Dave.

CANTO: Upcoming work from Ihsahn, a new Metal Allegiance track, and more!

Hey peoples! It’s Monday! Too enthusiastic you say? Well… you’re right. I’m actually miserable.

I think it’s more or less common knowledge that Chris Adler is taking care of the drums on the new Megadeth record. Well, guess what. Megadeth and Lamb of God will be playing five shows together and he’ll be drumming for both of them.
This isn’t good. The former Enabler bassist has come out and accused the frontman of abuse. As a result, the band has gone on an indefinite hiatus. I don’t see this ending well.
Ihsahn is slated to drop a new record in 2016. In reading very little into very early rumors, it sounds like it may have more of a classic feel with good choruses…? I don’t know what Ihsahn means anymore.
You want another reason to hate humanity? At a recent Drowning show (whoever the shit that is) a couple fans took it upon themselves to bludgeon people with trash cans in the pit. Are you serious? Really? People are this fucking ridiculous?
For today’s clip, at long last we have ourselves the first Metal Allegiance song:
