Initial Descent: March 18, 2016

convulse band 2016

Another Friday is upon us! Leading the charge with this week’s new releases are Finnish legends Convulse! The band’s new album, Cycle of Revenge, comes just two-and-a-half years since after their last effort, Evil Prevails — which is kinda nice since they’d waited almost 20 years between albums before that. Album Review: Gloria Morti – “Kuebiko”

gloria morti kuebiko cover

Bands change. That’s just a fact of life. Especially when a band, such as Gloria Morti, have been around since 1999. And one hundred and forty-two is the number of albums I clicked play on to test them and suggest for review. So I’m a bit tired in an auditory sense. But I digress. In today’s post we will run through a bunch of larger releases that I hope no one missed and then feature nine smaller releases that are top notch. February was a great month. And another sign that 2016 is headed in very much the right direction. Continue reading
