We got Ihsahn updates to share this Friday. The Fascination Street Sessions EP will be out on March 24 through Candlelight Records. Check out “Contorted Monuments” here.
Heathen and Arrival of Autumn are touring North America in March, starting on the 9th in Providence and wrapping up on the 26th in Philly. Here’s the full schedule.
Horizon Ignited released a new single titled “Carry Me”, which was previously only included on the vinyl version of Towards The Dying Lands. Give that a listen here.
I’m currently listening to Sky Void of Stars on vinyl as we speak, so it makes sense to celebrate the release date of Katatonia’s latest with the video for “Opaline”. Give it a watch below. As I mentioned, that album is out now through Napalm Records.

Monday tends to be a slow one. Let’s see if that remains a trend.

Black metal entity Bizarrekult revealed a new single titled “Kongen”, taken from their upcoming new album, Den Tapte Krigen. That one will be out through Season of Mist sometime next year. Additionally, they’ll be supporting Der Weg einer Freiheit on a brief European tour this month.
Pivoting to a little hardcore, Fucked Up released a video for “Oberon”, the title track from their new EP. That one drops on October 7th through Tankcrimes, if you weren’t previously aware.
Couple quick tours to touch on. First, Artificial Brain has a few dates up here in the Northeast with Succomb and Luminous Vault this coming November. In case you missed it, their self-titled third album dropped in July through Profound Lore.
And we’ll wrap up Monday with a little thrash. Warbringer hit the road tomorrow for a run of shows with Heathen and Misfire, and to celebrate the occasion they dropped a new music video for “Crushed Beneath The Tracks”, a track taken from Weapons of Tomorrow, available through Napalm Records. Time for a beer. A root beer. And a water. In no particular order.

Wayfarer dropped a new track yesterday, called “Vaudeville”, which is another new one taken from A Romance With Violence. That album drops on October 16th through Profound Lore and I can’t freaking wait.
Carcass have unveiled another new track as well, this one called “The Long and Winding Bier Road”. That’s taken from their upcoming new EP, Despicable, which is out on October 30th through Nuclear Blast.
Caspian have announced a streaming event scheduled for September 30th. That will be a massive two hour performance, where they’ll be joined by The Losander Chamber Orchestra.
Thrash on a Friday just feels right, so we’ll close with a new video from Heathen for “Sun In My Hand”. Empire Of The Blind is out now on Nuclear Blast. Enjoy!

Killswitch Engage are re-releasing their first self-titled album to celebrate it’s 20th anniversary. Didn’t In Flames do something like this for Clayman? Anyway. Pre-orders are available now for the October 9th release. Personally, I love the early KsE library so I’m tempted.
While you’re at it, make sure you drop an order for Convulse’s next album, Deathstar, which is out on October 30th through Transcending Records. I’m so glad those progressive death metallers are active again.
