There is a foul breath in the air. Hot and rank it seeps up through the crevasses in this rock you call earth. You smell it, even if you think you are mentally unaware. It’s the reason you can’t sleep at night. He is coming. You know this to be true. He will torture you in your sleep. Toenail by toenail he will tear from flesh. As you go about your day, seemingly oblivious to His wrath, you are merely a vessel waiting to be filled with hate. Waiting to be enslaved by the Dark Lord below. Prepare yourself. For He is near. Another Friday is upon us, and that means another slew of albums for y’all to digest. Leading the way is Salt Lake City’s SubRosa, who return with their fourth full-length, For This We Fought the Battle of Ages. (I just got my copy through #MetalBandcampGiftClub yesterday and am beyond psyched to dive in.)

We’ve also got a new album from Inquisition that contains a lot of words in its title (even more than SubRosa), as well as stuff from German legends Running Wild, other German legends Sodom and German not-quite-legends-but-still-pretty-damn-goods Imperium Dekadenz.
