Blind Guardian Day is today. And then Rise Against Day is tomorrow. And then Deafheaven Day is Tuesday. But today? Today is god damn Friday.

Just the Tip: August 19’s New Releases in Brief

It’s new release Tuesday! Here’s what we’ll be covering on this week’s podcast:

August 19, 2014

Accept – Blind Rage (Nuclear Blast)

Pallbearer – Foundations of Burden (Profound Lore)

Trioscapes – Digital Dream Sequence (Metal Blade)

The Moon and the Nightspirit – Holdrejtek (Prophecy Productions)

There’s also new stuff from DragonForce and King 810 this week, if you’re interested. We’re not. For now, take a listen to these for yourselves and then check back for our thoughts in Episode 19 later this week!

Quickies: AWFUL PEOPLE EVERYWHERE (King 810, Insane Clown Posse, etc.)

Another late Quickies. Meh. At least Corey’s back Sunday. Which really means Corey’s back Wednesday because of jet lag and all that nonsense. Suffice it to say, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and I can see it. Anyway, here’s what we missed in the world of metal today:

Because the album hasn’t hit Spotify yet, this is actually the first I’m hearing from Wovenwar. And it’s actually not bad, for what it is. Hope these guys keep doing what they’re doing now that they’re free of Tim Lambesis’s nonsense. Anyway, that’ll wrap us up for today. Check back tomorrow for more!

Quickies: Obscura shake-up, King 810 continue to suck, plus DRUM CAM!

Quick turnaround for Quickies today, because hey! It’s Friday, and I don’t want to spend any more time on these than I need to. Here’s what we’ve got for you today:

Check back tomorrow for The Dump! Now get to happy hour, dammit!

Quickies: News from At The Gates, The Misfits, Ice T (Weird, right?), and More

A new week and some new… news. I guess. I’m trying really hard to stay focused on this blog and not let the World Cup occupy all of my time on the internet. It isn’t going well. But Germany won… so now I’m willing to provide your Quickies.

Ignore the Rob Zombie part. And the Metallica connection. Then, maybe, you’re good. Anyway, I’m gonna resume celebrating this Germany win.
