Quick turnaround for Quickies today, because hey! It’s Friday, and I don’t want to spend any more time on these than I need to. Here’s what we’ve got for you today:
- Rough news for Obscura today, as guitarist Christian Muenzner and drummer Hannes Grossmann have decided to quit the band. Not sure what kind of impact this will have on their planned fourth album, but BOLD PREDICTION ALERT: it’s probably gonna be delayed.
- Ex-As I Lay Dying frontman/solicitation of murder convict Tim Lambesis is headed back to court next week to see if he can get a reduced sentence. SURPRISE! He’s blaming his actions on ‘roid rage.
- Scott Ian’s announced his upcoming autobiography, I’m The Man. He was gonna call it koobnikcufecin but then changed his mind at the last minute.
- Hey, guess what guys? King 810 are still assholes!
- And finally, Converge drummer Ben Koller released an awesome new “drum cam” video of the band’s performance of “All We Love We Leave Behind,” filmed at Seattle’s Rain Fest earlier this year. Check it out:
Check back tomorrow for The Dump! Now get to happy hour, dammit!
