Coming at you late tonight, but still coming at you because there is a ton of shit going on.

We’ll lead things off with new material from Saor, one of my personal favorites. The new album, Origins, will be out on June 24th through Season of Mist. Check out the video for the title-track here.
We’ll jump to a tour next. Avatar have announced a July headlining tour, with Light The Torch and Otep. That kicks off on July 6th in Toronto and ends the 31st in Tucson. Tickets are available here.
Oh look, GWAR released a new single. “Mother Fucking Liar” can be streamed here. That’s taken from The New Dark Ages, which drops on June 3rd. As a reminder, they’re on tour in May and June with Goatwhore, The Native Howl, and Nekrogoblikon.
Yatra also unveiled a new track today, titled “Death Cantation”, over at Decibel. That’s taken from Born into Chaos, which is slated for a June 10th release through Prosthetic.
Finally, from Cave In, the clip for “Blood Spiller” is below. That’s the latest track taken from Heavy Pendulum. As a reminder, that is out on May 20th through Relapse Records, and I cannot wait to get that one in the mail.

This was one long fucking week.

I’m really excited about the debut from Kataan, so naturally I have to include the latest single from Processor in this roundup. This one is titled “Abyss”, and it is predictably awesome.
A couple fun covers to toss in the mix today, the first coming from Lamb of God. This is their reimagining of the Bad Brains track “I Against I”. I’m ready for this pandemic to be over, but these quarantine videos have been really well executed over the past year, this being no exception.
And the other cover of the day comes from Carnifex, who released a cover of Korn’s “Dead Bodies Everywhere”. This isn’t a quarantine video, but the visualizer for it is pretty damn wild. Check it out here.
And the video of the day comes from Light the Torch, the Howard Jones-fronted trio. They have a new album, their second full-length, set for a June 25th release through Nuclear Blast. It will be titled You Will Be the Death of Me, and you can check out the video for “Wilting in the Light” immediately below. Oh, and pre-orders are available at this location.

More cancellations coming your way today (to no surprise I’m sure). I’ll make sure to include some fun stuff to balance things out.

Alice Cooper is going to postpone his Spring tour, with dates hopefully moved to the Fall. Meanwhile, Devastation on the Nation (Borknagar, Rotting Christ, etc) is being moved to early 2021, and Killswitch Engage is also postponing their tour with August Burns Red and Light The Torch until a later date.
Onto the lighter stuff. Khemmis have revealed details behind their next release. It will be a live mini called Doomed Heavy Metal and it drops on April 17th through Nuclear Blast. Check out this video for their cover of Dio’s “Rainbow in the Dark.”
Also emerging from Nuclear Blast is an update from Paradise Lost, who have a new album dropping on May 15th. The album will be titled Obsidian and you can get a very brief taste of what’s to come right here.

I’ve had to work from home two days in a row which I’m not the biggest fan of.

It would be a safe bet to assume that I will always lead off with Fire In The Mountains updates. Today, it was revealed that Bell Witch and Aerial Ruin would be performing a collaborative set. Haunter and Eternal Champion were also announced. This is getting exciting.
Skillet have announced an early 2020 headlining tour with From Ashes To New and Ledger. Those dates are in February and March and cover most of the United States.
Killswitch Engage have revealed their support for the upcoming spring tour. Light the Torch will serve as the opening act, with August Burns Red in as the main support. Did we already know all that? I’m not sure.
Yo. Check out this new flick from Envy for “A Step in the Morning Glow.” Their next album, The Fallen Crimson, will be out on February 7th through Pelagic Records.

It’s been forever since I did one of these because I was in the wilderness for a week. But I’m back now. Chris will be so happy.

Light The Torch have announced a summer and fall tour covering most of the United States. Just mentioning in case anyone’s interested. Some dates are with Gwar, others with Trivium. Good stuff.
Decibel have announced the first wave of bands for the inaugural Metal & Beer Fest: Los Angeles. Triptykon (playing a Celtic Frost set) and Testament (playing a lot of other stuff). Man, I really want to attend this.
Remember that time Slayer was gonna be done doing things? Well, they’re doing at least one more thing in 2019. Hellfest Open Air! Which will probably maybe possibly be their last live thing ever.
Emma Ruth Rundle stuff! First, a massive tour from early July through the end of the year. Second, a new album, On Dark Horses, will be out September 14th on Sargent House. Rejoice! Check out a new single, “Fever Dream”, right now.
