Meanwhile, down in Mexico City, Domination Festival 2019 looks like it’s going to be a big one. A solid lineup that includes Bloodbath, Meshuggah, Satyricon, and many others.
A couple big announcements from Wolves in the Throne Room recently. If the headlining of Fire In The Mountains wasn’t enough, they’re also in the studio working on a new album! Yay.
How about another festival lineup? Rocklahoma! Featuring Ozzy, Disturbed, Steel Panther and others obviously.
No brainer on the video today. Anomalie dropped a new one for “Vision IV: Illumination”. It’s a live clip from a performance at Dark Easter Metal Meeting 2018. Check it.

Long Monday.

Let’s start with beer things. Armored Saint is teaming up with Metal Monkey Brewing to create the “Symbol of Salvation” Belgian Blonde Ale. It will be available at Decibel Metal & Beer Fest: Los Angeles.
Some interesting views on Brexit. Bruce Dickinson? In favor of it. Ozzy? Doesn’t really get it. And I am entertained.
Here we go. Hellfest 2019 lineup announced. Kiss, Tool, The Ocean, Slayer, King Diamond, Emperor… do I need to go on?
Gothic metal to wrap up the day. The Sixth Chamber have released a new video for “Entrance to the Cold Waste”. It was shot in Death Valley, which I find pretty cool. Otherwise, this video, is, um, something. And by that I mean hilarious. Slow day, what do you want from me?

2/8/2018. Every other day routine this week, apparently.

So I guess Ozzy isn’t all-the-way retiring after all. Just from large-scale tours. Ozzfest and such will go on. Probably because money.
Tesseract will be releasing their next album, Sonder, on April 20th. It’s their fourth album. It’ll be out on Kscope. They’ll be on tour in the U.S., too. So many things!
Here’s Nergal recording vocals because a light at the end of any long day is acknowledgement that new Behemoth is on the horizon.
Year of the Locust have given us a new video on this cold, dark Thursday. It’s for “Sunrise”, which dropped back on January 29th. Enjoy.

2/6/2018. Yes, I do realize putting the date in the body of this post is redundant. No, I don’t care.

Rivers of Nihil have released new album details. Their third full-length will be called Where Owls Know My Name and is set to drop March 16th. You can listen to a new track, “The Silent Life”, right now.
Ozzy Osbourne has announced one more, final, last, forever and ever tour through North America this year. The “No More Tours 2” will feature support from Stone Sour. Link for tickets that go on sale… eventually.
AC/DC will be continuing with Axl Rose on vocals. I guess they are working on new material as well. I don’t think I like this.
In anticipation of their new album, Place Noire, which drops on April 13th, Death Engine have released a new music video for “Modern Life”. Check it out if you’re feeling some hardcore/noise.

11/7/2017. I guess I’m going to live in darkness for the next several months.

Awesome news out of the Tribulation camp! Their next studio album, Down Below, will be out January 26th. Don’t want to wait that long? They will also be releasing an EP on December 22nd called Lady Death. Hell. Yes.
Saxon have also dropped some new album news. Thunderbolt is set for a February 2nd release via Militia Guard.
Rockville 2018 bands have started to trickle through. Ozzy, Avenged Sevenfold, Baroness, and Killswitch Engage are some of the notable names so far.
So, um, here’s a really cool new song from Harakiri For The Sky. It’s called “Tomb Omnia” and should satisfy your blackgaze needs for the evening. Check it out…
