Skeletonwitch make beer now! Or at least… they help! They’ve teamed up with Three Floyd Brewing to bring you a “Red Death Sour Beer”. Mmmm, sours.
So I guess members of Bring Me The Horizon are climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro. They are doing it for charity, so that’s kinda cool.
Former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has revealed that he recently suffered from a heart attack. I know it has been a tough year or so for the dude, but that’s rough.
Alcest released another new song from their upcoming Kodama (out September 30th) called “Je Suis D’ailleurs”. Enjoy.
Finally, here’s a fun music video from Allegaeon for “All Hail Science”. Fun fact: it was shot at a brewery.

CANTO: Watain/Mayhem tour news, Megadeth footage, and another arrest for Phil Rudd

I finally installed my air conditioner. This is a time for celebration.

So this first came up back in June, but more troubling news as emerged from After the Burial earlier today. Guitarist Justin Lowe, who recently suffered a paranoid episode, has gone missing. Our thoughts are with all involved.
Tour alert: Watain, Mayhem, and Rotting Christ will be touring later this year. The tour kicks off November 5th and will run through the end of the month.
Well, looks like ex-AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd was arrested again. This time for drinking with prostitutes. This was a violation of his home detention, which was supposed to span eight months.
If you wanted to know what Megadeth looked and sounded like with Chris Adler and Kiko Loureiro, here’s some footage for ya. They sound fine. Dave, well, sounds like Dave.
And finally, I was able to track down that lyric video for Amorphis‘ latest track, “Death of a King”:

CANTO: New music from Kataklysm, updates from Clutch, and more!

I’m writing this post in a place I probably shouldn’t be. And I am entertained.

Kataklysm has a new album, Of Ghosts and Gods, coming out on July 31st. To whet our appetites, they’ve unveiled a neatly-titled new track. Check out “Soul Destroyer” here.
Hey, check it out. New Clutch stuff. The band’s next record, Psychic Warfare, will drop in October. There’s artwork, specific dates, all kinds of fun stuff in there.
This has been lingering for awhile. Ex-AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd‘s sentencing has been announced. Some say he got off fairly easy. I’ll let you all decide.
So apparently there’s a German rapper called Romano who’s…super into metal? Like, enough to name-drop Autopsy and Blut Aus Nord in his lyrics? I’m so confused by this.

Late with these tonight—just that kind of day at the office. Won’t waste any time: here’s what we’ve got for Quickies today:

Former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd pleaded guilty to some of the bizarre criminal charges against him—including possession of marijuana and cocaine, and one count of threatening to kill. Safe to say Chris Slade’s probably a good bet to be behind the skins for the foreseeable future.
The first wave of bands for this year’s GWAR-B-Q has been announced. Included among the initial few acts? Down, Goatwhore and The Descendents, to name just a few. This might be fun!
Speaking of lineup announcements: in a move that is just too perfect for words, Emmure have been confirmed for this year’s Gathering of the Juggalos. This will definitely not be fun!
Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett apparently lost his iPhone containing something like 250 different riff ideas. He estimates that he can remember about eight of them. Or, you know, three percent. The lesson here, kids? Back your shit up.
Finally, Paradise Lost released a lyric video for the first single from their upcoming album. Here’s “No Hope in Sight” for your listening pleasure:
