Another late running World Cup match, a beer, and no more work for the week. Yay.
- We can open with a cinematic new video from Amon Amarth for “Oden Owns You All”. Give it a watch here. It’s fun, as usual. The Great Heathen Army is out now through Metal Blade, and there are still a few dates remaining on their headlining run with Carcass, Obituary, and Cattle Decapitation.
- Austrian thrashers Insanity Alert have reissued their second full-length album, Moshburger, and marked the date with a new performance video of “Run to the Pit”. That footage is from Wacken Open Air 2022, and that album was reissued through Season of Mist.
- Swedish metallers Screamer released a new single, titled “The Traveler”. Their new album, Kingmaker, is coming January 13, and will be available through Steamhammer/SPV.
- Sci-fi metal collective Curse of Cain issued a new video for “Alive” today, and that’s available to view here. They also just signed on with Atomic Fire, so there should be cool stuff coming in the near future.
- Abrasive black metal band Dryad revealed the third single from The Abyssal Plain, titled “Pompeii Worm”. We’ll close out the week with the visualizer for that below. That album drops on January 20 through Prosthetic Records.
“Ein Bier… bitte.”
