Some virtual happenings to share today! The first comes from Abysmal Dawn, who are hosting a virtual listening party for Phylogensis, their new album, tomorrow at 2:00 PM EST. The record officially drops on Friday through Season of Mist, so this a cool, interactive way to get an early listen.
Here’s a pretty cool project from Jeramie Kling (Venom Inc, Massacre, The Absence) and Taylor Nordberg (Massacre, The Absence). They are writing, recording, and releasing a new song from different genres each day. Stay caught up here.
Lord Mantis tends to be… jarring, so let’s wrap with a new video from them for “Santa Muerte”. Universal Death Church dropped last November through Profound Lore.
Whitechapel have released a new video for “Hickory Creek”, which we’re going to watch now as a way to wrap things up. The Valley will be out next week, and Whitechapel will be on tour in April and May.
I’ve been floored by the staggering amount of releases coming at us each week. Maybe it was this way last year and my memory sucks but it seems there’s no let up in the climbing quantity of new metal. No complaints from me at all though, the more the merrier I say. Long story short, if you haven’t found at least a handful of albums to latch onto, you’re not looking hard enough. Anyway, we had a good week around the Nine Circles table and collectively we listened to a ton of music which we are sharing with you below. As per usual for a Monday morning, grab the biggest cup of coffee you can find and hit the play button on our playlist. And, don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel here. Here’s to a good week for you all, we’ll be seeing you throughout the week. Continue reading →
This thing we do with new releases every week is not unlike others new release blasts and we realize you can go anywhere for it but we appreciate you coming here. With that said, we hope you dig it but if not feel free to comment on what you don’t or if there’s something you’d like to see or if your band would like to be included. Our contact info can be found on the homepage and we are also on social media, hit us up. Tons of great stuff to get into this week so… Denver’s Of Feather and Bone send shockwaves through the crusty, gnarly death metal world with Bestial Hymns of Perversion, one of funeral doom’s most beloved members, Mournful Congregation, return with The Incubus of Karma, noise rockers High Priests focus on the riffs with debut Spinning and closing out the top slots this week is the return of melodic death metallers The Absence on A Gift for the Obsessed. As always, there’s much more to explore so dive in head first and get both ears full. Continue reading →
