Melodic death metallers Death On Fire recently teamed up with Corpse Paint and Dayglo (C.A.P.D.) for a split, Hope, that is wildly different from most things you’ve heard recently. C.A.P.D.’s side has been described as the perfect dance music for the Dark Lord while Death On Fire’s side is more of their unapologetic death metal BUT there’s a twist. Each offers original tracks but also a few unexpected covers that are spicy to say the least. We mentioned yesterday in Tim Kenefic’s Profile that Death on Fire has been cooking up some new material and today we are premiering a new video for their track “American Scum.” If the title doesn’t give it away, this is a scathing look at the high cost of the so called American Dream and just how we, as a nation, have all played a role in one form or another. Profile: Tim Kenefic of Death on Fire

Back in May of this year Death on Fire, the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Tim Kenefic, released Lazerwulf Demos. The band’s blend of classic metal, thrash, death and even a touch of experimentation translates extremely well and even though it may not sound like it on paper, it is indeed cohesive, and not to mention, a multi-headed beast of an effort. Death on Fire is currently working on new material so stay tuned for more information on that.
