Good morning, it’s time to metal. Here’s some news you might have missed from the last couple of days:

- Leading off…goddammit, the rumored Dio hologram tour is for real. Dates are here. Just know that if you go, I will hate you. And not out of jealousy.

Devil You Know have parted ways with John Sankey on drums. It sounds like they may already have a replacement? Looks like big news is coming either way.
Whispers from Mastodon have surfaced. Brent Hinds has revealed that their follow up to Once More ‘Round The Sun might be a double album. Ambitious.
I couldn’t go without sharing this. Hardcore band 25 Ta Life “tried” to play a set without a drummer and it went horribly, horribly wrong. Also, I don’t think they know what the term ‘acoustic set’ means.
Positive news from The Ghost Inside. The recovery progress is continuing along. In fact, the vocalist is out of a cast and the bassist is working Warped Tour with Falling In Reverse.
Spellcaster has released a new single called “Betrayal”. Night Hides The World will be out on July 8th through Prosthetic Records.

Black Sabbath may be playing their final show ever in Birmingham. It would make sense that this all ends where it started, even if I most definitely will not be there.
Drummer John Sankey will be sitting out the upcoming Devil You Know tour. Standing in for him? The extremely talented John Boecklin, known for his previous work with Devildriver.
Amnesia Rockfest has announced its 2016 lineup. That’s all well and good. The Cavalera drama is probably more entertaining though.
Why am I talking about Hatebreed? I have literally no idea. But here are a couple minutes of new music if you feel like you needed that in your life.
Manny covered these guys not too long ago at a St. Vitus show, and now we get ourselves some live footage. This is Tengger Cavalry‘s “War Horse.”

Miss May I had to bow out of a Chicago date this evening due to a vehicle pile up. The band appears to be fine. The vehicle? Less so.
Devil You Know have announced their first ever North American headlining tour. They cover both coasts from April to May.
I’m not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but a KKK protest took place in Anaheim this past Saturday. Naturally, there was a counter-protest that involved a few metalheads. Look, I understand freedom speech, I do. But I’m supporting those that stood up to those racist fucktards. May they rot.
Do you remember Jesse L. Matthew? He was the man accused of murdering Morgan Harrington after she went missing following a Metallica concert. Well, it was recently revealed that he is pleading guilty to the charges.
Amorphis has a new video! And it’s for “The Four Wise Men”! Great choice, I must say. The video isn’t very interesting. But the song is.

It’s been a nice day off after a couple consecutive nights of shows. Let’s get right into it.

Halloween 2015 was big for a number of bands, not just Blind Guardian. Tool took the opportunity to dress up like Led Zeppelin and covered “No Quarter.” Sounds like fun.
Troubling news in Bucharest as a pyrotechnics malfunction led to fires that caused the death of 27 and 180 additional injuries. The show was a Goodbye to Gravity release party. Our thoughts are with all those impacted.
Anthrax have released some details about their upcoming album. The title will be For All Kings, and it’s set to drop on February 26th.
It’s not the halftime show, but it was announced that Metallica will be playing the Super Bowl pre-show. Better than nothing, right?
We all remember when Killswitch Engage covered Dio’s “Holy Diver”, right? Well, in similar fashion, Devil You Know have released their own version of Survivor’s “Eye of the Tiger”. You can listen to it below.
