Eyehategod are celebrating 30 years of Take as Needed for Pain with a U.S. tour where they’ll be accompanied by Goatwhore. Not gonna lie, I would love to get to one of these dates. That run starts on April 8 in Atlanta, and includes a full performance of that album at Decibel Metal & Beer Fest in Philly.
Enforcer have set May 5 as the release date for their new album, Nostalgia. Their sixth studio album will be out through Nuclear Blast, and you can find a video for “Coming Alive” in the announcement.
When I finally give the latest from In Flames a break, I’m excited to check out Disintegrate. The new album from Oak is officially out tomorrow through Season of Mist, but you can stream it in full a little early here.
Speaking of tomorrow releases, Delain offered up a new track and video from their new album. Check out “Queen of Shadow” here, and be sure to give Dark Waters a listen tomorrow. That album is available through Napalm.
I gotta get outta here for the night, so let’s wrap things up with a new video from Arch Enemy for “Poisoned Arrow”. That track, of course, is taken from Deceivers, which is out now through Century Media. You can also catch Arch Enemy on tour pretty much everywhere BUT the U.S. over the next several months.

CANTO: Entheos, Heidevolk, Enforcer, and More

Now that my Best of 2022 list is finally done, what should I do next?

Progressive death metallers Entheos have set March 3rd as the release date for Time Will Take Us All. Their new album will be out through Metal Blade, and a video for “I Am The Void” can be seen here.
Next up we have another video, this one from Enforcer. They’ve revived the classic track “Running In Menace”, available for your listening and viewing pleasure here. Really cool how they came to this production, if you read up on it a bit.
Only video links today. I’m making it happen. Check out the latest from HYPNO5E, in “Lava from the Sky”. Sheol is out on February 24th through Pelagic Records. Speaking of Pelagic, I think 2023 is gonna be pretty massive for the label.
Epica released a one-shot live video for “Rivers”, footage taken from a performance in Chile. That falls right before Friday’s vinyl reissue release for The Phantom Agony, Consign To Oblivion and Design Your Universe, should you be interested.
We’ll head into the latter stages of the week with some pagan folk metal. Here is the latest video from Heidevolk for the title-track off their new album, Wederkeer. That one drops on February 24th through Napalm Records.

CANTO: Ghost Bath, Tombs, Deserted Fear, and More

I ordered two new records today, which was a nice feeling.

We’ll start with Ghost Bath, who released Self Loather to the world with a new video for “A Crystal Lattice”. This wasn’t one of the albums I ordered today, but if you are interested it’s out through Nuclear Blast and can be purchased here.
Sticking with Nuclear Blast for now, Enforcer released a new single today, titled “At The End Of The Rainbow”. That’s a standalone single, but you can pick up Live By Fire II, their latest live album which dropped back in March, right here.
Deserted Fear released a cover of the classic In Flames track “Artifacts Of The Black Rain”. That track is featured as a B-side on their limited EP, and I will let you all decide if it was a good idea because I haven’t listened to it yet.
As a way of celebrating Halloween, here’s some fresh stuff from Tombs. They shared a cover of Samhain’s song “The Shift”, through Season of Mist, which can be streamed here.
And we’ll knot up the week with the new video, more of a short film, from Imminence for “Chasing Shadows”. That’s taken from the upcoming new album, Heaven In Hiding, which is out on November 26th through Arising Empire.

CANTO: Saor, Enforcer, Cult of Luna, and More

This week has been weird.

Here’s cool news. Saor have signed on with Season of Mist. This can only lead to great things. It sounds like Andy is already working on new material, so we may not even need to wait that long for those things!
And now I have lots of new songs to share. First: Cattle Decapitation. “One Day Closer to the End of the World” dropped today. Their 9th studio album, Death Atlas, drops on November 29th.
How about Enforcer, since they have a massive North American tour with Warbringer coming up anyway? This track is called “Sail On”. Zenith, is available now worldwide on Nuclear Blast.
Most importantly (to me), is Cult of Luna. The video for “Lay Your Head to Rest” caught my attention today. Oh how I cannot wait for September 20th… that’s when A Dawn to Fear is released. In case you forgot.
